What a great place! Whether a date night or with friends! I frequent this place a lot & it's always a fun time! The food, drinks & services have always been an A+. The Mattapoisett harbor is right across the street & there's a screened in front porch to sit on top take in the sunset or an afternoon breeze.... More

We took tripadvisor's recommendation and decided that The Inn on Shipyard Park. We both ordered fish and chips. Of course a cocktail to start off our meal. We eadh got sizable piece of fish accompanied with fries, coleslaw and tartar sauce. The meal was delicious. This is an old building with lots of colonial charm. My wife said we will... More

Spent a lovely fall afternoon on the porch enjoying a tasteful lunch. Our mussels, ruben cuban and pasta were yummy and hit the spot. The home made chips crispy and perfect. Our waitress, Allie, was cheerful and attentive which always adds to a satisfying lunch out.

A group of six ate there for lunch. One had the lobster roll and was very happy. One had a burger and seemed to enjoy it. One had a cobb salad with a generous proportion and ate very little. Two had the haddock special - one finding it inedible and the other picking through it. I had the baked scallops,... More

used to flow in pints. Odd decrease in volume and quality of ales under new ownership, who, to their credit, don't seem to drink or know a good craft ale--except by raising the price.

My husband and I stopped in at the bar after a day of touring New Bedford and Fairhaven. There were a few seats on the porch but my husband preferred to sit at the bar in the air conditioning. The bartender was very prompt with the drinks and very friendly even tho she was running back and forth from the... More

We went for dinner. We were told that it wasn't busy. We should have paid attention when the server told the table next to us that the kitchen was backed up.... The food was very good. But the 40 minutes between appetizers and dinner was way too long. The chairs were not that comfortable either. The server told us the... More

This place is fantastic but falls down with patchy service - some of the staff are wonderful, some not, and the kitchen can be quite a long way behind on busy nights. Good bedrooms too, although noisy unail the bar is shut. We have enjoyed in on the whole.

You get a view of Mattapoisett harbor if you sit on the historic screened front porch. The harbor has many of the classic boats for which New England is famous. Plus, out front is a marvelous park, so you can people watch too. Mattapoisett is a perfectly intact piece of New England sea farming history. The houses are beautiful, the... More

The word that comes to mind is perfect. Perfectly located just a few steps from the Mattapoisett Inn B&B where we stayed and across the street from the water. A perfect porch for enjoying foods and drinks outside on a beautiful summer evening. A perfect menu that matches appetizers and entrees, salads and sandwiches, combined with a creative drink menu...
