Was very disappointed. Was nothing like other vistors have said. Even onion rings were over done. Better places in Essex.

I always take friends to the Clambox when they come to Ipswich! They change their frying oil regularly! Scallops are delicious too! There is always a line on weekends?

Amazing fresh fried clams, this is a fun stop for the entire family. The summer lines can be long but well worth it. Literally ENORMOUS portions! Shared the fisherman platter & chowdah with 3 adults - plenty of food for 3

We would recommend this place to anyone visiting the area so that they can see what good old fashioned New England seafood is all about. The people working here are very friendly, the prices are decent and you can either sit inside to eat or go out on the picnic tables.

Crowded but prompt service - almost always a line. But the clams are very good. This is my second favorite place for clams in the area. If the Box were anywhere else, I think it would be the best.

The food was as glorious as it always was. Perfectly fried seafood is no easy task. I ordered... More

This place is a must visit. My father who is 92 remembers this place when he lived in Middleton Ma. We all went and ate all fried foods. Everything was excellent. What can I say HUGE fishermans platter can easily be split with 2 people. Then again I am not a fan of buffets. I can not eat enough to... More
