Pain D'Avignon is one of our favorite places to visit when we come to Cape Cod. Not only is the food consistently good, but there is a fully operational bakery behind the restaurant. From some of the tables you are able to see the breads going in and out of the ovens. On a recent visit we had a delicious... More

I visited this cafe many times with a client. We often split the delicious french pastries and enjoyed great coffee. It is fairly expensive but very much worth it. The pastries are truly traditional french cooking.

Quality food served well in this spot worth finding. It's tucked-away in the middle of the strip malls of Hyannis, with a lively atmosphere. Service was efficient and knowledgeable and the menu was creative without overdoing it. Three negatives in an otherwise successful meal were that some of the dishes clearly were ready long before others and were not served... More

Pain D'Avignon has the best fresh breads. My favorite is their multigrain light. When it's in the toaster it makes the whole house smell amazing. It is great for sandwiches but I prefer it on its own toasted with some butter. They also have great croissants, baguettes and they even serve dinner. Have not tried their dinner yet but it... More

This place is pretty good. Every once in a while it is not but half the time they make it right. I wish it was a five. They need to be more gracious. The service is almost always good but when it's not, it is no fun. The food is fresh and delicious. The red flannel hash is the only... More

Order at the counter service. Baked goods and breads sell fast! Lobster sandwich was good, burger was very good, onion soup good not great. Service people very personable. Alcohol is expenisive as are their baked goods. Good for them as the place was busy for a Saturday lunch (. Busy till 2;30 !) The eclair was good .

Me and some friends came here Midweek. It was slow but that didn't help the service staff or kitchen inattention to detail, disorganized service, and off tasting (and stomach aching) baked oysters. The worst thing about our experience was meeting the owner (who we weren't made aware of until after we left by my sickened friend). He was at the... More

Came for lunch. French bakery but with a menu which includes breakfast, lunch and dinner. I've been visiting the Cape for a long time, and was not aware of this place. It is off to the side on an access road which leads to the Hyannis Airport. Great food. I ordered a sandwich and it was brought to me within... More

Great service, everyone was very friendly and efficient. My friend and I both had the evening special, medallions of filet. Cooked a perfect medium rare. Portion size spot on. Desert a real treat , must try the blueberry crumble!

It is a bit off the beaten path, but worth the trip. We had dinner here last week and it was excellent. We were seated at a table with a view of the bakery and could see the bread being made. (There was also one baker, who seemed to be having trouble keeping his trousers up, but that's another story....)... More
