Went Saturday pm (a frequent event for prime rib). I discovered their macaroni and cheese. It was the best I have had away from home ever!

Jakes is a great place for dinner or drinks. The portions are huge and usually requires a doggie bag. The service is fantastic and the atmosphere is warm. It is great when the tourists leave and you can enjoy the place better.

We've enjoyed Jake Rooney's often since they did a makeover several years ago and the food was great...always packed. Unfortunately, the food has gone downhill lately. The last few times we've eaten there the food has been unremarkable and we had to return our draft beers because they tasted terrible. Too bad because we used to like Jake's. Too many... More

Bountiful fish dinner, haddock, huge amount of fries and onion rings came with it. Coleslaw too. Well worth the $15 charge.

Jake Rooney's is a busy spot all the time. It is and charming spot and always hopping. The menu is varied and lots of choices. They have Prime Rib Specials for $18. The wait staff is charming and quick to please. A new favorite spot of ours.

Geno Sings Sinatra on Sundays from 5:00 - 7:30 and actually, he is pretty good. The older set near Hartwich Port obviously like him as there were a lot of senior citizens here (good for them). Many ordered the fajitas. We should have followed suit. We decided to try the scallops and they were burnt black and actually were crispy... More

A year ago we dined at Rooney's and was extremely pleased. Great food, ambience and prices. Fast forward to Sept 2016 and we were quite disapointed. The changed menu ( Chef? Owner?) was totally different from the diner friendly menu of last year. The "early bird specials" were NOT so special. Unless they revert last year's menu 2015) and cuisine, we... More

Hello, just wanted to take a minute to respond to your review and assure you of a few things. First, although we do have great food prices and generous portions, we are not a diner. We are a full family restaurant with a large dining room, full service bar, two fireplaces, and a stage and a dance floor for entertainment.... More

I believe that this restaurant is over priced. I am a woman who cooks every night. When I go out it's a treat for me. This was not a treat. Sorry!

When we were seated, I felt something drip onto my head. I looked up and saw that the air conditioner was dripping right over my seat. I told the waitress and she switched our table. They promptly seated someone else there and the same thing happened to them. Why would a restaurant continue to seat people there. It is gross.... More

Hello and thanks for taking the time to write this note. You brought up two very good points. I personally was not aware that any drips were coming from the air conditioning unit, so I'm glad you pointed that out. We have taken care of that situation. I'm glad you were moved to a more suitable table. As for the... More

We were a family of seven staying for a week in West Harwich and had passed this place a few times on our travels, and decided to eat dinner there on our penultimate night on the Cape. The menu is varied and the portions really generous, and very well cooked. Between us we had a variety of dishes, from fish... More

Description
A friendly family restaurant that serves seafood, steaks, and American fare.

We also have live entertainment 5 nights a week, including John Morgan's Happy Hour on Saturday, Trivia with Patrick on Thursday, and the MOST (50's-60's dance band) two nights a week!

Jake Rooney's is the only licensed "Stonegrill" restaurant on the Cape. Stonegrill dining presents the diner with a searing hot stone to cook each bite of their dinner to perfection. It's a fun and unique experience.
