You won't believe all the rave reviews until you eat here. Go if only for the steamed mussel appetizer. Fantastic. We had chicken carbonara and cod fish entrees. I can still savor them. Regrets only that we were too full for dessert. Perfect service and great atmosphere and decor, with enough room between tables for private conversation without having to... More

Appetizers and entres are creative while using traditional ingredients. But still great choices for foodies. Service right on time. Comfortable environment.

We decided to make a trip recently again to Cape Cod although we had been there in the summer. This is always one of our favorite restaurants which I would rate equally as good as our other favorite, Capt. Linnell House in Orleans. They have a wonderful menu although once again we went for their prix fixe menu for $28.00... More

I am always suspicious of restaurants that describe themselves that describe themselves as "French" as it is too often an excuse to serve up overpriced food with fancy names, but chef Christian clearly has a good grasp of true French cuisine with some good precise cooking. He is not immune to Americanisation, the portions are too large, with my perfectly... More

Although this restaurant has French flair there is something for everyone on the menu. We were very satisfied with our appetizers and entrees. Not suitable for children who can't stay in their seats.

We loved the old Christian's in Chatham, which closed and was converted into condos (but don't get me started on the lean restaurant offerings in Chatham...) Anyway, the chef, Christian, moved into L'Alouette and it was deja vu in a very good way! You can have a conversation in this restaurant -- the tables are not too close and the... More

The overall experience does not justify the trip, either long (in our case) or short, if you are in the mid-Cape. Portions are very large, especially main course, but not appealing. Some dishes have too much butter and garlic (pasta with seafood); calves liver caused a stomach disorder for our friend. Service is not memorable - it is not a... More

L'Alouette is a good restaurant in the sense that you will have a good meal. Thought this was a French restaurant similar to PB Boulangerie in South Wellfleet. It is not. I was very surprised with the amazing bakeries on the Cape that it did not serve French bread. There is a prix fixe meal menu that seemed very good... More

We go here a few times a year (we are only here for half the year). The menu is quite nice with fresh fish, steak, lamb chops, and calves liver with bacon and other goodies. That's what I had. This is one of the rare restaurants that still serve calves liver and it is yummy along with mashed potatoes and... More

All my guests thoroughly enjoyed their meal. Great options, wonderful service and elegant atmosphere at a reasonable price for such high quality.
