This is a fun place, really fun. Great crowd of both locals and regulars and newcomers of all ages. A bit noisy, but the crowd is pretty young. The food is excellent, some dishes marvelous like the tagliatelle, the Southern fried Chicken, the burger, some...More

The atmosphere is definitely for adults only with dark and loud interior. The food wasn't so great for my friends (pork chop was pink and chewy, they couldn't chew to swallow!) and it was so dark I didn't realize the other sides next to the...More

Great ambience and varied menu that does what is does very well. Oysters, great soup, homely gastro pub comfort food that all went down very well. Did not get to desert as no room left after sampling the menu with friends. Soccer net, corn hole...More

Great place right on the main drag. Relaxed atmosphere on the front porch, sit on the outdoor patio and enjoy. Great Elm drafts- superb service/friendly and helpful. Fried chicken a house specialty was crisp and juicy/ outrageously good butter on the fantastic cornbread. Wife had...More

Lots of creative ideas on the menu, able to meet a variety of dietary preferences (as exhibited by our group), all delicious. We all came away very satisfied. One person in our party was in a wheelchair, and was easily accommodated.

We loved the atmosphere here. We felt like we were entering a house party outside and inside. Opportunities for kids to play on the lawn while families waited for tables were available. We enjoyed the farm to table menu however limited. Three of us had...More

I can't comment on the food since we didn't get beyond the drinks but for wine by the glass, I would not go here. After being handed four separate menus (1 food, 1 red wine, 1 white wine,1 whiskey) with only 3 single glasses offered...More

We won't return and we've newly moved to the Berkshires so we could have become regulars. There are so many great restaurants in the area and we would have liked for the Prairie Whale to be one more, but their strong negatives are built into...More

First time here, but hopefully not the last! This place is recommended by friends and now I understand why. Imaginative, mostly home-grown food. And the staff was fabulous!
