They serve very large portions. I love the fish chowder which has large chunks if fish in it. I get the cup ( cereal bowl) which is plenty. The bowl of chowder is just too much. Chowder and salad is $10 and a great buy. Coconut rum haddock is another favorite.

Great for seafood and local favorites. When you go to a city and want to know where all the locals eat well in Gloucester this is the place. Never disappointed.

Yum...just yummm...and oh my goodness the portion size of the seafood marinara was enough to feed two hungry men! The oversized platter was brimming with mussels, calamari, shrimp and scallops over a huge mound of linguini. So fresh and so delicious! The hubby had the fish and chips, which was good but nothing too noteworthy, and a cup of clam... More

Fabulous place. Not fancy and crowded. BYOB. Wonderful staff and even more wonderful food. Clam chowder second only to Halibut Point Restaurant (that means Gloucester had the two best chowders in NE...at least). Scallops to die for. Splendid fish and chips. Every penny goes into the food. Will be going again. Worth driving 50 miles to get to!

60 degrees out and sunny so went for a cruise in the 2007 Vette with the top down. First stop at 2 was at our favorite restaurant, The Causeway on Rte 133, in Gloucester. Sitting at our favorite table, the bar... you get to see all the meals being served. As usual they had about 10 specials.... the one that... More

Great food, generous servings, very nice people. Yes it is crowded, because it's great. I never go to Gloucester without going to the Causeway.

I want to tell folks upfront this is a quirky place. I see other reviews, so know this,it is a local diner kind of place that people bring in their own beer and wine and drink from foam cups. It is tight, it is a bit noisey, and it is always busy. But most of all the food is awesome,... More

Stopped here after reading reviews when driving thru Gloucester. It was a great choice for lunch. Just the type of place my husband enjoys. The clam chowder was delicious per my husband. He asked for a cup and it came in a bowl. We ended up sharing a combo plate of friend scallops, fried clams and fried fish. Delicious! Melted... More
