Stop at The Causeway for a late dinner . This place was recommended by a few locals. The two of us both were not that hunger but we're told by all that The Causeway is know for their large portions. The atmosphere was low key, no worry kind of place where the focus is on the food instead of hiding... More

Maybe this has great reviews for the fried food, which we did not have. Place was full of patrons at 12:00 Sunday. Very casual. Unimaginative food, surf n turf tasted like they bought frozen shrimp from grocery store, threw on some butter and crumbs and baked it. Same w steak, not flavorful at all. Flavorless coleslaw. Coconut haddock not fabulously... More

It's pretty efficient in terms of how much food you get for the cost, and it's good quality, but the wait can be pretty long. That might be due to the fact that it's one of the few places like it that is open in the off-season.

Japanese tourists are a good indicator of a place that serves good quality fish. Whether eating at the restaurant or taking out, invariably I see a happy bunch of Japanese tourists. Clam chowder is the best in the city. Portions are big enough for the next day's meal. Viva!

As in most reviews, the meal sizes here are very generous and the price for what you receive is extremely good value. With that in mind, it is still hard not to overeat here. If you like a fried seafood platter, I am not sure you will get a better one around. The dish is huge and the fish very... More

Showed up on a Sunday afternoon with three kids and a friend in tow. Place was packed with people waiting outside. It was worth the wait. What it lacks in ambiance it makes up in food and I'm there to eat. Ordered steamers, fish chowder, and a fisherman's platter for the lot. All of it was great. FYI it's BYOB.... More

Stopped here on "nostalgia trip" back to the Northshore, where we had lived as children and young marrieds, and had a very nice clam dinner at the Causeway.

We were excited to be seated quickly on a busy night due to only having 2 in our party. To be honest, the atmosphere felt a little bit like going to a party where you didn't know anyone. The waitresses were brusque and spent the time chatting with locals who kept coming in. We had to be on alert the... More

Had food a couple of times at the Causeway. The seafood was fresh, the fried dishes were properly fried and the sauces I tried were very tasty too. Do not forget that the portions are huge, you can always take home the leftovers.
