First off, don't be fooled by what appears to be the front of the restaurant. It the function room, and the restaurant itself is around the corner. We almost left without going it. In Gloucester, and at the Gloucester House, you get the freshest seafood,...More

We were on foot and so this place was recommended to us because we were fairly close by and they knew we wanted steamed lobster. This is not where they would have sent us if we'd had a car or wanted lobster rolls. A couple...More

I have been to the Gloucester House for dinners, lunches, weddings, dinner meetings etc. The food is always good. They make the best calamari anywhere. Wait staff is home friendly and the atmosphere is just what you'd expect in a fish town. Whether you're a...More

We had good service from Bailey. I thought the stuffed lobsters were good. Not great. Overly bread crumb stuffed. Chowder was very good. My drink had a very very heavy pour of vodka. Sides were OK. I expected better.

We chose this restaurant because they have a gluten free menu. I ordered some fish chowder which contained a small amount of Haddock and was uninspired especially considering the $6.95 price tag. In addition, I ordered a Seasonal Berry salad with blackened fish. The waitress...More

We had to hit this place on a really off night. There was hardly anyone there, yet the service was slow and the food took forever to come out. When the food finally arrived, it was cold and very greasy. There is a great view...More

The Gloucester House restaurant is renowned for its local lobster dishes and for the freshest North Atlantic seafood, prepared to perfection. Having been among the first to popularize fried calamari, our specialties range from award-winning clam chowder to homemade bread and cornbread, from Dottie's bourbon cake to Lily's wine list, and from Sambuca mussels to blackened haddock tacos to a fried fisherman's reuben sandwich. We always cook to order and have gluten free and vegetarian menus available, as well as children's meals. Dine full-service on our outdoor, dockside deck or eat lobsters in-the-rough on our harbor side wharf. Located on historic Seven Seas Wharf, there's something for everyone here: shop for souvenirs and local art at our General Store gift shop, enjoy a sail on the Schooner Thomas E. Lannon, or see the whales aboard Seven Seas Whale Watch. Whatever your fancy may be, the Linquata family invites you to join us year-round for a true taste of New England.
