We arrived a little early for dinner at the Franklin with family; we told the waiter that we wanted drinks and appetizers, and wait a bit to order dinner. The appetizers were all good: spicy edamame, cheese and veg salad, grilled calamari. But the waiter...More

There are many great restaurants in Gloucester but The Franklin is right up there as our all-time favorite. Being bar-dwellers, we love the dark, romantic ambience-the Jeff Weaver paintings, the excellent service provided by Stefano, and the fabulous food. On the regular menu the pan-roasted...More

Attentive and pleasant servers. Outstanding burger with blue cheese and special sauce. Fries were top notch, too! Jazz band was great but it is really loud and tough to hear your party. Would not recommend for intimate dinner because of this reason but fun for...More
