We ordered take out this past Thirsday for dinner & let's just say they're lucky the food was not eaten as a dine-in customer because all of the food would have been sent back. We ordered the Shrimp Mocambique appetizer, totally NOT worth the $$......it was small-sized, peeled shrimp that was drowning in the greasy Mocambique sauce. When we order this dish at other Portuguese restaurants, it's a decent size & has the peel still on to give it more flavor, which is typical in a Portuguese restaurant & how we prefer our shrimp. We also ordered Galinha a Alentjana & the Prato Acoriano which has pork & figado (liver). Both entrees were overcooked. The liver was so dry that was almost burnt on one side & the pork had no flavor. The Galinha (chicken) a Alentjana was overcooked, as well, the chicken was very dry, the potatoes & chicken had no flavor & the sauce was greasy & had way too much parsley. This meal was almost "free" because we had a gift card from Christmas to this restaurant & we were just able to use it now due to COVID-19 restrictions. It was an extremely disappointing experience to say the least. It's almost embarrassing the dichotomy from our delicious lunch experience at yet another Portuguese restaurant, The Clipper, also in Fall River, MA. Our lunch there was delicious, great portion sizes on all of our food from soups, salad & entrees & an attentive waiter, John, whom has been working there for many years. So to sum up our day of Portuguese delights the only delights to be had & that was worth the drive, money & calories was from the latter of the two establishments.More
