The Dolphin Restaurant in Barnstable has been off my Harwich radar, because of my erroneous thinking “it’s too far away”. Well, it is not, but it took a Cape Cod Daily Deal to finally get me there with my daughter (Stefanie) and son-in-law (Bob). Surprise of surprises – it is a very nice restaurant with a comfortable setting/atmosphere, friendly staff,... More

The prime rib was like eating shoe leather and the baked scrod was tasteless. The overall service was slow . We were extremely dissatisfied and won't be heading back !

Consistently good food. Stick to any of the seafood options and you'll walk away happy. I especially like their version of oysters Rockefeller. Lively bar area generally packed with local color.

We visited this restaraunt at New Eve.Seems popular with locals (good sign), good seafood (we tried their specials - scallops in lobster sauce and casserole from local fish). Good choice of wine. Nice place to go, if you at Barnstable, Cape Cod, typical New England food, fresh and also nice service, antique house, great warm atmosphere.

We had a late lunch and were looking for something small but satisfying to eat. Having never been here before I was pleased to see that they had a crock of french onion soup. It was perfect to hit the spot on a cold, dreary and rainy day. Our waitress came almost as soon as we were seated and asked... More

The staff were great. Friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is nice and warm. The French Onion Gratinee was delicious. The grilled cheese was good, but could have done with more seasoning. The crab cakes had good flavor, but were dry.

Food is good typical New England fare. Service, especially Penny at the bar , is terrific. Homey atmosphere in an antique building. Convivial chatter at the local centric bar.

Family owned for 70 years, the Dolphin Restaurant staff pays attention to detail. Tables are meticulously set in a lovely dining room. Ambiance is just right for conversation. Service is excellent. The lazy man's lobster casserole is terrific. As is the sea scallop & crab casserole. Macadamia crusted scrod with orange butter sauce was delicious. Apple pie a la mode... More

We had a Cape Cod Daily Deal for the Dolphin and they did not disappoint! The entrees (swordfish and nut crusted cod) were to die for. Great atmosphere and service. A must for any Cape Cod visitor!

Always enjoy the Dolphin. Their attentive & friendly service is appreciated, makes me happy to be there. I was so happy that I ordered their baked stuff lobster Friday night. Delicious generous portion. Looking forward to my next visit....
