Dear Customers, My name is Andrew Quach, and I am one of the managers at Gourmet Inspirations. I lived in the Wheaton area for 18 years and have eaten at Good Fortune many times. My partners and I are very aware of the history and connection that the restaurant had within the community, so an important goal for us is to work hard to maintain the same consistency and quality of food that Good Fortune provided to its customers for the past 30 years. To assist us in our efforts, we have been fortunate to retain the services of the executive chef, chef de cuisine, and dim sum chef, all of whom were a part of the previous kitchen staff and have been working together for over 20 years. We hope this will allow us to continue serving authentic Cantonese Cuisine and Dim Sum to all our customers for many years to come. We have undergone an extensive renovation project in order to update the facility and provide a more contemporary environment. Our name and decor have changed but our commitment to customer satisfaction will not. If at any time during your dining experience an issue or problem comes up please inform me or one of my partners (Steve or Kathy) and we will take care of the situation. We look forward to the opportunity to serve you in the near future.

Birthday dinner on a weekday evening. Wide selection with a large variety, great food, large portions, good service and good value. Some of the best Peking Duck we’ve had, and our go-to dishes were also very high end.

We are about to skip town after living in the area for years and we picked here for our last lunch/brunch of Dim Sum! Doing stuff made us get in later vs what we do most times, arriving pre 11 AM and we showed at...More

We were very impressed! The vegetarian items were good. I have no idea if the banquet items were on the regular menu, but our table mates thought everything was very good! I was told this is one of the few family style restaurants left in...More

The vegetarian options were totally lacking in inspiration. It was a terrible meal, maybe the rest of the food options are good but I would never go back.

We went to visit our son in Maryland and he brought us to this really good Chinese Restaurant. We were surprised to the choices available for dinner and lunch- many authentic dishes that you will not find outside of Hong Kong. The prices are reasonable...More

We ate here at the recommendation of friends. The dim sum selection on weekdays is not as extensive as it is on weekends and they were out of quite a few items. What we had was good. This location has been a Chinese restaurant for...More

Searching for additional Dim Sum places to bring our guests from Toronto, we headed with much anticipation Saturday noon to the Gourmet Inspirations Restaurant 豪煮意酒家 in Wheaton. We inquired about vegetarian dim sums and were told that they did not have such items though we...More

I don’t know why this place was crowded for dim sum on a recent weekend. I guess because the best dim sum in the area closed a few months ago. This place isn’t good- it’s clean and has nice chairs, but the food is just...More

Some to like about this place. Staff is friendly, service is good and it has a nice family restaurant feel to it. Their snow pea leaves are very good and their General Tsos shrimp was pretty good, though a bit sweeter than I would have...More

My mother and I met a friend and her husband for lunch here this week. My mother's friend recommended the place. With a little trepidation, we went for lunch. You have to be "on the look out" when you drive down University Blvd to find...More
