Went for lunch and despite reading reviews to the contrary the lobster risotto was excellent as were the other entrées. Bread was terrific and great server in outstanding atmosphere. We will be back. Hidden gem.

This was our first time here. General impressions are as follows... The location and atmosphere are quaint. Parking isn't an issue, plenty of spaces out back. We had a reservation and we're seated promptly. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. The dining chairs are terrible...- too low to the table and I'm 6' tall. The bruschetta and calamari were good. Our entree experience had a few snafus that make me question the quality control by the chef. One pasta dish was to come with scallops, crab meat and shrimp. The dish arrived missing one of the more obvious ingredients - scallops! Upon closer examination, it appeared the crab meat may have been missing, but a closer look showed there was some crab but the portion was diminimos and there was absolutely no lump. For the price paid I expected better attention to detail and quality control. The lobster ravioli was just okay, again seemed to lack any meaningful amount of lobster. Further the menu seems to suggest that lobster meat was to be added as a compliment to the ravioli and thus was missing. Perhaps we misunderstood. Nevertheless we would not recommend this dish. The waiter and manager readily acknowledged the error and missing scallops that should've accompanied the pasta dish and took the dish back for a replacement. Therefore I had to wait for a new dish while everyone else ate... The replacement dish was the way it shouldve come out from the start, with 2 large scallops, shrimp and obviously visible lump crab meat throughout. I'm afraid they only served it this way because it was returned so they went overboard with the replacement dish. The staff was responsive to our table and concerns which is a plus although this entire negative experience was for the most part avoidable and left us feeling a bit underwhelmed for a first visit, especially considering the price point. To that end, the food tasted good for the most part and the pasta was cooked perfectly but there's clearly room for improvement.More

Top rated food, atmosphere and service. Elegant hidden gem. The Brussels sprout appetizer was memorable. Exquisite entrees and fun specialty cocktails. Great place for a great meal.

Our first visit since this spot became The Amalfi Coast. For lunch we split a Caesar Salad which was just right, a spectacular main dish of Gnocchi with a lovely creamy gorgonzola sauce and a very clever and very tasty plate of crispy Brussel Sprouts...with pancetta, crumbled gorgonzola, honey and a balsamic glaze. It was delicious and delightful as were the two glasses of wine from a very nice wine list. We've been at this location before it became Amalfi and we were unimpressed. This was a wonderful surprise and we will be back very soon. Tip - the parking is hidden behind the restaurant.More

We went there the night Ida was wandering through. To sum it up the food was average to poor. The service was rushed. We did come towards the later part of the evening, however they accepted the reservation. Serve the customer. Instead we had the...rush messaging multiple times of “how are we doing “. In general it was a below average vacation area restaurant that know most customers won’t come back. We surely won’t.More

Have ALWAYS loved when the restaurant was RUSTICO Now the service is questionable. Young bus people sweeping the floor by our table while we were eating. We were the only diners at that time. We were seated and given a lunch menu but were charged...for dinner prices. (that was adjusted after we notified our waitress.) Our food was good, but we are rethinking if/ when our next visit will be.More

Food was mostly good. Service was poor. No sign of a mature adult manager on-site. Lots of teenaged servers who couldn’t answer questions about wine or other menu items. Forgot requests or to bring drinks. Did not clear the table between courses without being asked...to do so. No kidding—served desserts and coffee on a table with used dinner and bread/appetizer plates, empty cocktail and wine glasses, and utensils still strewn about. My friend was served a dish that required using a spoon but only a knife and fork were provided. We had to remind our server—will you bring my wine? May I have a spoon? Can you please remove the dirty plates? Felt like parents constantly directing kids to do chores. No anticipatory skills whatsoever. Young employee carrying lots of used glasses still containing liquid and melted ice cream dropped them by our table and completely saturated my friend’s shirt and pants. Accidents happen. Understood. However, the employee was not using a tray but rather was carrying too many items in his hands. That’s not how to do it. We told our waitress what happened but she did nothing—no manager came over. The food was generally good. The melon wasn’t ripe on the appetizer with prosciutto, and the wild boar ragu over pasta was salty. Don’t go for the tiramisu as it looks like a ho-ho and is just ok. The Brussels sprouts and eggplant appetizers were great. Nice cocktails. But the service was so sloppy I have to give it a one-star score. Obviously the help was not trained properly and no manager was overseeing the operation. It is a cute place (even though the chairs are low and the tables high—picture that) and the menu is nice, but I bet the place won’t last another year, if that. It is a neglected business that leaves customers feeling the same. A real shame.More

This place advertises saltimboca at the as it lead position in its entree section - do not order it as it is a fraud and that is based upon two visits, both regrettable and the second time rejected and sent from the table. I gave...them a second chance, Wonderful Waitress Carrie warned them, and they instead replicated the false promise of the first visit. The three prime ingredients of this dish are veal, prosciutto, and sage(sage leaves when in season, which they are). That’s it! Simple, no? Well, for the second time, no HINT of prosciutto OR sage, neither of which are shy-and-retiring on the taste buds. A simple, tasteless(‘could not restrain myself), fraud. On a higher plane, the calimari and the meatball & polenta appetizers were great as was the Almaritricciana ( sp?) replacement dinner. Oh two final notes -get rid of all of your chairs or have them rebuilt as everyone’s butt drops about six inches upon seating -either that or make your tables shorter - this is an embarrassment and makes you look really dumb. And of course, Carrie was dynamite, she saved the restaurant from a posible “walk-out”, after warning the chef(El Inútil) of the prior shortcomings to which he paid no attention. Thanks again, Carrie.More

Service is a continuing struggle here. We like Italian food and wine so we are inclined to go here often. We stopped going as much as service was just so bad. We decided to give it a go this past Saturday in hopes things had...improved.....it was an epic meltdown of an evening. It was a a two hour dinner. You will be promised bread multiple times and never see it. You will ask for water refills and have to ask again and again. We spent over $100 for dinner for two people. We expect more. Can’t recommend unfortunately.More

Well the service was bad the food was uninspired. We have been going to this restaurant for years under two previous ownership. This was the first time going under the current name of Amalfi Coast. No bread on the table, no refill on water, server...never asked if we wanted bread or bother to check if we needed water. The food was bland and the waitress was argumentative. This was our 34th wedding anniversary and it was so bad we did not order desert. This use to be our favorite restaurant One hundred and fifty dollars of wasted money. Will not be returning under this management.More

Maryland does not usually do Italian food well, at all. This place is an exception to that rule. Great food, good wine, cozy atmosphere. A bit pricy but not insane.

Everything is fresh and made in house. We had a shrimp appetizer and Bruchetta to start. Then 2 different pasta dished. Both exceptional. We went on a Wednesday which is 1/2 price on wine bottles and extra bonus.

Another of the old rotty houses converted into a restaurant for it's "atmosphere". The food is good, the drinks are "ehhhh" and the prices high, esp. for what you get. This in the island's failed attempt to be elegant and, that word again, snotty. So...you know who this place is aiming for and it ain't the farmers!More
