This place is great! I had pat thai and it was so juicy and flavorful. The staff was so welcoming and the price incredibly cheap especially if you get the lunch deals.

We always enjoy our food when we eat here. Our favorites are the drunken noodles, the penang curry and the mango sticky rice.

My husband and I each had a different type of curry and thought they were excellent. I had the veggie jungle curry and thought the flavors were very nuanced. The spicy level was great and to order, I had spicy five and thought they did a good job. My husband really liked the wanton soup. The service was fast and... More

We stayed at the Courtyard hotel nearby and took the Metro into D.C. for a visit to the Smithsonian. We came back and, based on the reviews here, came to indulge our cravings for Thai food. It had been more than a year since our favorite Thai restaurant back home was closed. We were not disappointed here. From the first... More

My husband and I have been here a few times. Good food overall, not noisy inside. Service is usually pretty good.

I say new found as it is for me. I happened to be walking by and became curious about this place. KAO Thai did not disappoint. I had some wonton soup with cabbage, and the Pad See Euw. It was very good and at a very reasonable price. This is a place I will revisit in the future and would... More

A great spot for lunch conveniently located on Colesville Rd right next to the Fillmore. I really enjoyed my meal and will be going back for their lunch specials. It was very good Thai food at a reasonable price. They did a good job combining two smaller businesses into one restaurant. It feels a little bit upscale but at the... More

We stopped at Khao Tai for lunch on our way back from DC. Since we live in Thailand, we felt like having something familiar. Laab pork, my favorite, was delicious, as much as any other dish on the table. The portions are huge, much more than what we are used to! Drinks and desserts are nice too, and the bill... More

A great spot for lunch or dinner with quick service. The Drunken noodle dish is a delicious choice along with Mango sticky rice and Shrimp Pad Kaprow. This is a good restaurant option if you are going to a concert or a movie.

I eat here quite often; so much so they know what I want to order most of the time lol. I always get the same thing and I love it. The vegetable spring rolls are great - crispy and very flavorful. The Pad Thai is great and not overly soupy as I have had from other Thai restaurants.
