My wife and I popped in for dinner, We both had crabcake dinners and both were really good. We both had bloody marys as well. I had a crab bm and she had triple threat. These were good as well but they there were no...prices on the menu we were given for the bloody marys.More
Stopped by for happy hour and crab cakes. The restaurant is small and sparse. Since we wanted happy hour we had to eat at the bar. The crab cakes and specials were good. Bar service was good. Unfortunately, some drunk locals created a nasty environment....Crude loud talk and vulgar language doesn’t make for a pleasant evening. Know before you go. Bartenders tried to quiet clientele due to children nearby. There are better environments with the same or better crab cakes.More
This is the way crabcakes should be made. All lump. The crab Bloody Mary must have had a pound of meat on top. For $28 I bet it was close. Worth the money. I’m cheap too! I ate three crabcakes while in OC for 3...days and this was the best by far! The cream of crab soup was tasty but too salty for me. I hope this review was helpful, if so please click “YES”!More
We had had a big lunch, so we weren't starved. The 5 oz crab cake with crackers seemed perfect for my husband. I also ordered the 5 oz. crab cake, so also got 2 sides- coleslaw and the kettle chips to share. The crab cakes...were delicious- no filler and nicely seasoned with huge lumps of crab in each. However, they were, at best, warm. They should have been served hot. Would have been much better. The coleslaw was very good, as was the kettle chips. Again, the kettle chips would also have been much better if they had been freshly made and served hot. Still- it was a good meal and I liked that you could just get a crab cake, if you didn't want any sides.
The building is old and needs to be remodeled and refurbished. Restaurants take a beating from all the traffic and need to be updated and cleaned up from time to time. Even if a place doesn't look dirty, it just doesn't feel comfortable in an old building that needs to be remodeled.More
After many years of bypassing this place w e tried it and were hooked. Best crab cakes not only in OC but anywhere I have had them. Now to get to the bloody Mary's. You have seen the pictures like I have and thought no...way can there be that much crab meat. Well there is and more. Except for the lack of parking no one could have any complaints. We are pi Kyle about our seafood and this place hits five stars with us.More
Moved to Florida 17 years ago...always return to MD to visit family at Xmas time...gotta go to OC for winter fun....and always a spicy crabby Bloody Mary at crab cake factory...none better. Put it on your must do list.
I have a friend who is a crab cake snob and she recommended Crab Cake Factory so I had to try it! We did take out and I ordered a 5 oz. cake. Truly excellent! This will be my go to place from now on...when I'm in OC! A little bit pricey for a small crab cake though!More
I would recommend this place and I would go back. Broccoli was outstanding, who would think I would comment on broccoli, but it was not good. Crab cake was excellent. Daughter had a cheese steak and was very pleased. Check this place out, you won’t...be disappointed.More
You will NOT be disappointed; options for everyone’s eating styles (Keto, Pescatarian, etc). The crab (and all crab related dishes are tasty) so will comment on something that was less than expected. They had a lobster roll sandwich special. Please know you will NOT get...a traditional lobster roll (either the “only butter” version or the mayo-based version) -what you get is lobster ceviche on a roll. I’m sure the chef takes creative license on his/her version of a lobster roll- but when you walk in expecting one thing, and then some pink-colored, ceviche- tasting entree comes out- it’s a little disappointing. Probably should have asked how it’s prepared. Would only recommend this dish as long as you know it is NOT a traditional lobster roll.More
