My wife has celiac disease so we are always looking for good gluten free food. We keep gong back to OC Kabob because everyone in the family loves the food. This trip I had the kofta kabob and my wife went with the he chicken....Both were excellent as usual. In addition, the salad was fresh and crisp with just the right amount of dressing. We also had an order of the stuffed grape leaves that were good. Even though my wife couldn't eat it, we had an order of baklava that was excellent.More

My first impression walking in was that they aren't really sure that they want to be a restaurant. It seems more oriented to take-out, although there are some tables along the sides and on the sidewalk. The atmosphere is spartan. Perhaps a bit too spartan....Sometimes, though, spartan is better than cutesy. There is no danger you'll be overhearing someone's conversation about what a marvelous time they had in Rio last winter or droning on about how hard it was to sell their place in Manhattan so they could move to Martha's Vineyard. We ordered the chicken kabab, a greek salad, and spanakopita. It was enough for the two of us as it turned out. What is more important, the food was absolutely authentic and very tasty. It was the kind of food that clearly reflects middle-eastern tradition , that has stood the test of time, is made slowly and carefully, without cutting corners to save a buck. The spanakopita was one of the best I've had since living in Macedonia as a child. Delicate crust, a filling that was made of real spinach, also delicate and fresh. The salads didn't have foolish additions that you would never see in Greece (or Iran or any other Middle Eastern country), the dressings were sour, as they should be, not sweet or full of mayonnaise. The place still has some rough edges, but we left feeling as if we had visited another country. In a good way.More

Was surprised to find new menu and new owners but very favorably impressed. They wore masks and seemed concerned with hygiene. They recommended we try the mixed appetizer with a fantastic eggplant salad (we were given a small amount to try) Very meaty and tasty...gyro sandwiches. Usually I don't care for grape leaves, but these were great! great homemade baklava.More

We got apps, entrees, and dessert. Everything was amazing! We got take out, and everything was ready upon arrival. Food was absolutely incredible, even after a 15 minute walk to the hotel. Would definitely go back!

I've been coming to OC for over 35 years now, but this was my first time at OC Kabob. I regret not coming here sooner. Earlier in the week I was in the mood for a Greek Salad, so I grabbed one for lunch and...they did not disappoint. It was probably the best Greek Salad I've ever had. It was fresh, great variety of vegetables and the dressing was homemade and perfect.Tonight my husband and I decided to try OC Kabobs for dinner and it was spectacular. I love Mediterranean food, and this was as authentic as you could get. The grape leaves were very flavorful and fresh, not mushy as they can sometimes get. My husband had the chicken kabob which was a single skewer, yet massive portion, of tender, chargrilled chicken seasoned to perfection over a bed of rice and paired with a second skewer of chargrilled fresh vegetables. A slice of banana Smith Island Cake finished off our dinner perfectly. It's only Monday and this was my second visit here. I will definitely be back to try other dishes.More

For a carryout place, this might be okay food, but the pricing was more like restaurant level, and so I am writing it accordingly. As an example, the $7.95 spanikopita was tiny, barely had any filling in it, and had something other than phyllo as...a wrapper - thick and coarse. My wife and I eat spanikopita a lot, and this is the worst spanikopita we've encountered across more than a dozen places in the state of Maryland. Wife had vegetable kabob. Mostly green pepper chunks and tomato, hardly any zucchini or mushrooms. And the chunks were too big - this had the effect of burnt (and I do mean burnt) outsides and raw centers. Standard (ordinary) falafel appetizer, tzatziki sauce and pita bread. We stopped by at 3PM, place was empty. One man in the place, brusquely took our order at the cash register, we felt rushed. Water was not offered, so we did not have any drinks with our food. Food came out pretty quickly. Another customer came in while we ate, the man behind the counter was nowhere to be found! There are not too many Mediteranean restaurants on Ocean City; sadly this is not one to try. If you have the time, go to Rehoboth, there are multiple options up there superior to this disappointing carry out priced like a restaurant.More

We came to OC Kabob at 11805 Coastal Highway because previous reviews had mentioned their vegetarian selections. It is located in a strip mall and there is free parking. The staff are quite friendly and helpful if you are unfamiliar with the cuisine. They have...4 or 5 tables inside and a few tables outside if you want to dine there. You order and pay for your food at the counter first. We ordered the Veggie Kabob meal which came with 2 sides, so we selected rice and a salad. We also got a Veggie Sandwich, which was like a veggie kabob and a salad on pita bread. We were happy to have vegetables and thought the food was good, but it needed seasoning.More

Ordered a Gyro Salad and it was very good. Nice crisp vegetables if lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes, red onion and topped with feta cheese and a nice portion of gyro meat. Tzatziki sauce on the side. My hubby had the chicken kabob sandwich and lihed in...very much. Conversion gently located in the Ocean City Square plaza. I would definitely get the salad again. Yummy!More
