A great place for any time of day or meal. Consistent quality and service and great food. You can dine outside or in. Varied menu with healthy and international offerings. I can recommend anything on the menu but particularly like the salads. They also have a good beer and wine selection and make a nice cocktail. A welcome addition to... More

The biggest negative to me is that the place is very loud. The waitress was nice and efficient. I was happy with the meal we had there.

Eat and read. You can do it in Busboys and Poets, a so lovely restaurant. No far than the National Archives (Maryland) you can enjoy a so warm and enthusiastic time with an original cooking and fabolous flavors. I love this restaurant.

Although it's a small chain restaurant, the food and service and ambiance were perfect. My only complaint is that it was very loud so we felt as though we had to yell and lean in to hear our friends. Everything we ordered was great and the beer was great, too. We'd love to go back the next time we're in... More

Went here for brunch during family weekend at UMD. Short wait was worth it. Glad to have choice of breakfast and lunch menu on Sunday morning. Everyone enjoyed their meals.Service could have been a little better, we were never asked for a refill on coffee. Will definitely go back.

Large menu with lots of healthy, casual options including many gluten free and vegetarian choices. My son had and loved the salmon. I enjoyed the falafel wrap. The african, 2 bean soup was delicious and hearty. The restaurant itself has a bookstore and schedules live events like poetry slams, which looked interesting. There is a full bar with many craft... We've been there several times and have never had a bad meal. The food is good, prices are right, and the staff is quick and competent. The only drawback I can see is the noise level, sometimes it is difficult to hear what the person next to you is saying, much less someone further down the table.

This was my second visit to B&P. We chose to go on Sunday morning at 1100 and there was a 25 minute wait, but it was worth it. The breakfast choices range from traditional (eggs, homefries and toast) to unique (chicken omelette or Iraqi hash). The sweet potato pancakes are superior!

Had dinner here while visiting a friend in DC. I was blown away by the book store; specifically the social justice theme (I love that stuff!) Also, the design of the restaurant with its artwork, murals, etc. We had a slight wait before being seated so I just walked around and perused the restaurant. I was so enamored with everything,...
