On April 20, my wife and I met here for lunch with another couple whom we had not seen in years. Eddie, our server, was very attentive and we all had a very good time. The establishment included a bar and a restaurant that also had outside seating; the facility was handicap-accessible. The other couple had made lunch reservations, which... More

Last night I attempted to dine with my wife at the Irish Inn at Glen Echo, MD. When I arrived at the pub (~5:15PM), it was a very light night. About 1/3 of the dining tables were occupied. As I started to sit down, a waiter came up and curtly asked me what I was doing. I told him my... More

One of the male servers was very rude and basically asked us to leave even though we had not finished our drinks yet. They were more concerned about letting patrons come in that would be spending more money.

Our family had lunch at The Irish Inn today for St. Patrick's Day. We all agreed that the food was very good, the portions large, the service friendly and the ambience very nice. Three thumbs up from our family. I especially loved the Gaelic Shrimp and the desserts. Add a cold Irish beer or cider and it is definitely worth... More

We enjoyed a pleasant Sunday lunch here. It is the first place in the DC area where the kids will eat the ham and cheese toasted sandwich. In other places the cheese or the ham have not been up to scratch. The menu is traditional pub grub orientated. Sadly no Sunday roast on offer. The deserts were the highlight. The... More

After an average brunch with average service and being misled that an item containing sausages was vegetarian - after asking - an 18% tip appeared, despite no advisory about it on the menu. On top the tip was calculated on the after tax amount, ie was paid on the food tax and alcohol tax as well as on the food... More

We made our annual friends birthday celebration at the Irish Inn in Glen Echo and as usual the staff, food, and cocktails did not disappoint. We had a wonderful time in the quaint pub and our server was great. Spicy Bloody Mary's and Black and Tans were delicious. I had the Irish breakfast sandwich - egg, tomato, and cheese, and... More

We have been fairly often to the Irish Inn, a nearby restaurant. This visit probably was our last. We dined in a small room with far too many people talking far too loudly. I felt like eating and leaving fast, because I couldn't get a word or thought in without effort. The food was o.k., but the prosciutto ham around... More

Our group (four adults and two 2-year-olds) stopped at the Irish Inn for brunch in December, following a puppet show at the Glen Echo Park puppet theater next door. We should have known from the first moment that we weren't going to have the greatest experience at this restaurant ... the hostess was almost hostile when she asked if we... More
