We never heard of this restaurant until my husband and I were given gift certificates for our 60th wedding anniversary by our nieces and nephew a few months ago. Since we received many gifts of that nature, we decided to hold onto this one until...More

Had a nice meal here recently. They charge more than I would want to pay on a regular basis, but it was nice for a special occasion. The atmosphere was cozy in the old house. It was a busy night, so it was even a...More

I have a lot of experience dining all over America and around the world. The Elkridge Furnace Inn has a seat at the best of the best. Our five course dinner included Escargot in a Saffron Butter Sauce, a Winter Greens Salad, a twist on...More

Again, a tiny man is laughing at the fact that you think this is a fantastic restaurant experience. It is not. We were provided with the worst service we have had in the world. The owner may want to say, "the food is rustic," but...More

A colleague recommended this restaurant. I ordered monk fish. It was so tough I requested a steak knife to cut it. The flavor was good but portion was small and mostly sauce and a few vegetables. It was overpriced for what I was served. It...More

We are so sorry that you did not enjoy your dinner. When you brought the toughness issue to your server's attention, he offered to take the monk fish away and give you a menu so you could order something else. You deferred, saying that you...More

Excellent service, beautiful atmosphere, delicious food. We each had a different demi-tasse of the soups so we could taste them both. They were rich and flavorful. I had the crab cakes which were mostly large lumps of crabmeat that were nicely seasoned--fabulous! My husband loved...More
