Our family of 5 - 2 meat eaters, 3 vegetarians - all having very different tastes and preferences from one another were all very happy with our choices from Luisa's broad menu. My husband particularly enjoyed his clams casino. The two gourmet cooks among us pronounced the penne arrabiata and tortellini emilliano excellent. Our server was chatty and interesting.

I was impressed with wait staff bringing not only butter with rolls but also spiced oil with cheese. I had the eggplant parm & pasta and my husband ordered the chicken parm, both were tasty. Affordable pricing and very nicely designed place. Our waitress Jordan was very personable. I am glad we stopped. I even found a painted rock that I happily took with me to relocate for someone else to find.

Thank you to the staff @ Luisa's Cucina for once again providing our local ladies group with a very good experience. We return because they accommodate a group of 12-15 who dine out monthly. We're an older group and appreciate the dining room layout, the ability to hear one another in conversation, the hard working staff that are so attentive throughout our dining experience and a menu that accommodates all dietary needs like gluten free. We'll be back again.

My wife and I were excited to learn the outside patio was open for dinner. Our server was extremely attentive and had an excellent customer centric attitude. I ordered the eggplant parmigiana and my wife had the vegetable tortellini. Her dinner was excellent, mine, was terrible. The eggplant was warm and came with way too much cheese; possibly to hide the eggplant’s lack of flavor. The accompanying spaghetti with marinara was just awful. Someone please tell the kitchen to salt the water when cooking pasta!! Try using cans of San Marzano for a quality marinara. Shouldn’t an Italian restaurant know how to cook the most basic of all Italian dishes? Too much of a risk to ever go there again.

Had dinner on a busy Friday evening during Downrigging weekend. My husband and I sat at the bar. After being quickly seated, we were served warm rolls with oil and parmesan cheese. The bartender, Debbie, took great care of us. We shared the baked crab dip...delicious! My husband had the veal Fiorentina, I had veal marsala, both were excellent! Too full for dessert, but they looked amazing. Great atmosphere. The bar is well lit and part of the dining area. Actually, everyone at the bar was having dinner, not just drinks. Very pleasant evening out. Highly recommend!

I took my wife her for her birthday. I made a reservation weeks in advance of our visit. The place was packed! There were people waiting to be seated. Most delicious food prepared with fresh and tasty ingredients. My wife and I split a garden salad. She ordered the penne caprese which was delicious and I had the chicken broccoli. Everything was fresh and tasty. Nicole was fabulous and extremely attentive and on top of everything. We ordered tiramisu for dessert to bring back to our cottage and it was fantastic. Extremely reasonable prices for excellent cuisine. Plenty of parking either right outside the restaurant or just nearby. Make sure to make a reservation because like I said, this place was packed. Excellent all around. I highly recommend Luisa's Cucina Italiana in Chestertown for a wonderfully romantic dinner or for dinner out with the kids. Tons of choices for everybody and you most certainly will not leave hungry.

After only a cursory drive-through, Luisa's appears to be the poshest place in Chestertown, but still casual in reality. We lunched here yesterday. The menu is extensive- ranging from hot and cold subs to complete entrees, with pizza in between. All looked tasty, and reasonably priced. For example Chicken Parm with spaghetti was only about $13. We each opted for lunch specials. My partner had a HUGE chicken Caesar wrap with delicious fries, $11. I went with the seafood Caesar salad, which had three each grilled scallops and decent sized shrimp. Outstanding, it's a keeper even at $18, which is a bit pricey for lunch. Iced teas, but there is a full bar. Server Sharon was A-one. Vaxed patrons not asked to mask up, and since some didn't have masks, I assume same for staff.

Greeted warmly and seated promptly. Delicious bread with dipping oil delivered right away. Jordan (our server) went over all of the specials being offered. I must acknowledge what a delight Jordan was, she made our visit a very good experience. She knows the menu well and lead me to the most delicious pasta dish (penne alla polpa di Granchio) which is lump crab meat, fresh tomato, in a creamy/light cheese sauce. The dish came out piping hot, presented in a very appealing way. The sauce never got thick and stayed creamy even as it cooled. No strong fishy taste to this crab meat! Highly recommended. Hubby ordered the cream of crab soup and ceasar salad with grilled shrimp added. He said both were delicious. We shared the warm peach cobbler for dessert, which was the real deal! Tasty peaches with the cobbler being the cake-like type. Luisa's was our favorite meal as we traveled from Chestertown to St. Michael's. And to the owner of Luisa's, you have a gem with Jordan as a server. A delightful, friendly, efficient young lady indeed!

After a bad customer service experience (meaning we got no service so we left 98 Cannon on the waterfront in Chestertown) we went to Luisa's based on the great reviews. So glad we did! What a night and day difference. We were greeted warmly at the door and sat at the bar. Drink orders were taken promptly and the waitress (she was working tables and also taking care of us at the bar) even let us taste the wine before deciding. We both got delicious salads....perfect on a hot July day. And the bread, served with an olive oil mix was to die for was worth the trip by itself. They should bottle and sell that stuff! The service was efficient, yet friendly with lots of fun banter. It made our day. We had the special seafood Caesar salad made with grilled scallops and shrimp. Fabulous! We come to Chestertown every few years for a 2-3 night visit. Luisa's will now be forever on our go to list. Thanks for a great experience.

My wife and I came by for dinner on a Monday evening. We were immediately greeted and seated by the window. The decor is cozy and welcoming. It was obvious that pride of ownership could be appreciated by customers from the cleanliness and service that was enjoyed throughout our visit this evening. Our waitress was professional and adorable. The food created a memorable experience that begged to be repeated! The only item that could be improved upon would be the Mozzarella Caprese.. Large, quarter inch thick slices of fresh Muz with equal slices of fresh tomato's would appear more appetizing. Overall, we loved everything about this restaurant and the fine food presented to us. Definitely one of the finest Italian style venues that we have ever dined at, anywhere in our travels. Wish that we lived closer! Bon Appetit!!!

So, I tried the calamari which was over cooked the first time. This time I ordered the crab dip which....had no crab in it. It tasted fishy and I sent it back. I would love to find something on the menu worth eating since there no other nice Italian Restaurants any where near Chestertown. I don't mind spending 13.00 for a dip, but they were served with Townhouse like crackers and no crab in the crab dip. Terrible.

Luisa’s has all the standard Italian restaurant pastas, pizzas and other dishes. There’s no real ambience at this casual eatery and the presentation of the dishes is workmanlike, too, as is the quality: cooked right and tastes good but nothing too noteworthy. The prices are low and the portions are large, so I felt that I got a lot of value and a solid meal here.

We had dinner a few nights ago after a fairly long drive. The food was outstanding and the service efficient and also friendly. The mussles (with white wine sauce) are truly excellent! I have eaten mussels in all kinds of places with all kinds of sauces but these were exceptional! A strong wine list as well! The pizzas are unique and delicious! A special shout out to Chad for his ever present smile and his welcome to us when we showed up for lunch a few days later as if we were local regulars!

We have eaten here many times and we're always so gad we did! We always start with the Antipasto, it has a nice assortment. On our last visit I ordered the Eggplant Parm. I hate to admit I was a little disappointed! I prefer the eggplant to be a little crispy around the edges but tender on the outside. This was not crispy at all. It was still delicious, I just won't be ordering it here again. My husband had the Veal Parm and said it was very good. For dessert we had the Dolce del Giorno, it was one of the best chocolate cakes I have ever eaten! All in all, it was a lovely meal. One thing that did concern us was the lack of mask wearing by the staff. I only saw two people back in the kitchen masked, we are still in global pandemic after all.

Luisa's was our first indoor dining since shut down. As usual it was great. Sat at the bar to meet strangers and see Debbie, the great bartender. I knew what I wanted, but then she described the tuna special. And I do not really like tuna grilled, but I had faith. It was perfectly cooked with a lemon butter sauce and pasta. Five days later my mouth waters as I write about it. Generous portion that made a second dinner. Sooo good. We will be back soon.
