Local diner in this small tourist area near the water in Chapeake City, MD. The crab sandwich was great, with lots of fresh grilled crab. The seafood chowder was good; but we've had much better fish and chips.

Had some steamed crabs for lunch on a Monday. The crabs were nice size and full. They should have been for $ 85. I was assured they were freshly steamed but they had the taste and texture of reheated ones. But what can I expect...More

Stopped in to get a bite and brew. Food was great. Had local ale and it was good too. Service was excellent. Location in center of town was appreciated.

We enjoyed eating at the Tap Room. It is a laid back space where you can get hard shell crabs, etc. They do not accept credit cards.

This place is a dive period. They only take cash, the decor is basic, the beer choice limited, and the food luke warm.

If you like being served with a smile, forget this place. The crabs are mostly imported from who knows where ? They are Big and Meaty though. and they come with a very Big Price tag!

Absolutely a joint .. but great for crabs and beers .. everything else is just typical bar food.A great place for a group .. especially if you are on the rowdy side! LOL

My sister and I stopped here to have some nice, fat, steaming crabs. We both ordered the AYCE $45.95 'special.' What a disappointment! The crabs were barely warm, flavorless, small and pretty dirty (more so than crabs usually are). My guess is that they were...More

Absolutely, they're completely kid friendly. My daughter has been eating there since she was a toddler. The Tap Room is a full service restaurant. Children are fine, they just can not sit at the bar (per MD law).
