I've eaten at Ocean Odyssey several times with friends. Always good. The fried oyster sandwich was cooked perfectly and properly seasoned. One of the better places to get steamed crabs. Craft beers are plentiful in variety to finish the meal. This is one of my sailing club's favorite stops.

Stopping through Cambridge on a trip to the region and made our dining choice based on reviews. The impression was the food was fine if not too appealing a location et al. We were overall unimpressed. My wife used the term unimaginative . The food was basic and the crab cakes were far from the best I had. There must... More

Visited this place for dinner on a Monday night. Unfortunately, got there less than an hour from closing, so weren't able to have the fresh crab. But had their crab cake and it did not disappoint! The most surprising dish was their stewed tomatoes. Not the kind you get in a can and put in chili, but these velvety sweet,... More

We were driving in from DC and wanted to find a place for lunch. Not a lot of choices until you get into Cambridge and I read the reviews and decided we should give it a shot. We almost drove past it because and then didn't go it because it looks run down. BUT once you get inside is so... More

This place isn't fancy, but the food was excellent and good service. Never had stewed tomatoes before but they were great.

So glad we stopped here. Looks are deceiving, doesn't look much from the outside. My husband wanted to try crabs before we left and this was definitely the best choice. Our waitress helped us because we were clueless. We got a dozen crabs and the fish tacos. It was a messy experience and seemed like a lot of work for... More

We had the BEST server at Ocean Odyssey. I have always wanted to try the crab and it was fun (but probably not again). I am used to king crab legs, this is NOT that! Our server was very patient with us and showed us how to get the crab meat (but there isn't much - we got the medium... More

When we walked in the service was not good, they were open but we stood around for 5 minutes saying "hello" before someone finally came to seat us. I tried the bay sandwich - came with oysters, fish, and softshell crab - something they are famous for. It's definitely an acquired taste so BE READY! haha they literally just throw... More

If you want to sample the local crab and other seafood, this is a great place to stop. The servers are very friendly to all. Perfect for solo, couples, or groups. This is a full seafood operation with crab picking in the back for your fresh crab cakes. A variety of choices from steamed crabs to salads to burgers. Food... More

Our primary objective was to have some good crabs. We definitely were not disappointed! The crabs themselves were really quite good. The service was comparable to the crabs. The side dishes we had were less then par, which is being generous.

Description
We are a locally owned and operated neighborhood crab house and restaurant that has been operating since 1986.

We have evolved from a seafood manufacturing and crab picking facility into a full service restaurant, crab retailer and caterer with a recently added beer garden.

We strive to give an authentic Eastern Shore No-Fuss hospitality experience to our guests and feature as many locally procured items as possible.

We have recently been featured on The Food Network, PBS's Americas Heartland, CNN "Somebody's Gotta Do It" and Dogfish Head's Dogfish Dish.

We are located directly on route 50. Less than a mile from the Hyatt Chesapeake Resort.
