I stopped here on a group vacation. The service was amazing and the food kept coming. The food was amazing. We were given soup, salad and bread to start. My main dish was the beef tips which was mouth watering. Great portions. Apple pie was to die for. I would definitely come here again.

Have dined here numerous times several years ago but stopped going because we thought the quality of the food declined and the meals were overpriced. Recently we decided to take a chance and we're surprised that the food was much better. BUT! Everything was over salted. Four of us dined and we all thought the dinners were over seasoned, including... More

We went to this restaurant after visiting Harper Ferry in West Virginia. Very quaint inn with lots of history. Washington, John Brown, Lee, Lewis and Clark have all stayed in this inn. If yo are a history buff, you can appreciate it. Dinner was in the atrium-beautiful views of the surrounding landscape. For starters, I ordered the escargots. Shared with... More

I made reservations 2 weeks before Easter and was very happy and excited about taking our family out for Easter dinner this year. We had to wait until 4:30 since there was 7 of us and they were only serving dinner from 12-4pm. They even took my credit card number to insure we came. We got there around 4:15 and... More

For supposedly being a fine dining establishment, I came away quite disappointed. To begin, the building and dining room look great, so the ambiance is definitely there. We were also impressed by the efficient and friendly staff. However, the food is really where this establishment fails. I ordered the Rockfish Chesapeake (about $25), which came with a salad. The salad... More

I'm very sorry to hear you didn't feel your visit was up to your standards. The salad is a medley of mesculin mix, romaine and iceberg lettuces accompanied by tomato, cucumber, carrots, peppers and cabbage. It is included with the meal so it is not a dinner size portion just an accompaniment to your entree. The Rockfish does not come... More

My husband made reservations and we were seated promptly. It's gorgeous inside with a warm atmosphere. Our waiter was super friendly and gave us great service. I ordered the filet mignon and had mashed potatoes and veggies on the side ...it was cooked perfectly and it was all delicious. I ordered the peanut butter pie which is house made and... More

My wife and I came here to celebrate my birthday having read and heard good things about it. The evening started off fine, the service attentive and the appetizers good. The main course is where the troubles began. While my buffalo filet was delicious, the scallops Dijon ordered by my wife was rather bland, or tasteless. Things worsened after this.... More

A warm and comfortable old stone inn with a beautiful 'newish' sunroom addition - the Old South Mountain Inn is the perfect spot for Sunday morning brunch. Almost anything that could be wished for is offered on the buffet - from fresh fruit and salad to roast beef and potatoes to egges and sausage to french toast and chipped beef.....not... More

Family dinner here on Christmas Eve which was very disappointing. Nice rustic atmosphere but that was the highlight. Most food overcooked (all the steaks at our table), bland sides and wilted salad. I hate to say it but go to Dennys and pay a half to a third of what we did for this quality. Service was ok but had... More
