The new cook at the Hawk's Nest is excellent! My husband and I had a delicious meal here today. I had non-gluten crab cakes with a quinoa side and roasted garlic fiddleheads. My husband like to get steamed mussels when we go out somewhere, and tonight he had big bowl of perfectly done mussels with linguini. We both had house... More

The food is all frozen food they explain it like it is home made but it is all frozen food down to a simple chicken wing.

We work hard to offer good food and friendly service, and I’m sorry that we didn’t meet your expectations. You stated that on your recent visit, all of our food is frozen, but in actuality , that is not the case. Yes indeed our chicken wings are frozen, as are all our fried foods. It is a common practice in... More

Friendly looking place with a great terrace overlooking the Old Canada Road. We just had coffee and tea so we cannot say anything about the food but we would really recommend the place itself.

Pleasantly surprised when the food measured up to the charming appearance of this terrific pub and restaurant. Stooped for lunch en route to Moosehead region. Homemade tomatoe basil soup worthy of any gastro-farm-to-table seeking foodie! Sandwich ingredients were fresh. Wish we had been in the area to try dinner here. Definitely this place on the list for meals or lodging... More

We drove home from old Quebec city on the very winding route 201. After crossing the border we started looking for a place to stop and rest ,eat and have a beer! We drove for miles on this very winding road where 40 to 50 miles an hour was the best I could do and remain safe so the trip... More

First time at this restaurant. Food was very good. Atmosphere relaxing and casual. It is set up on a bit of a hill, so the view is gorgeous. You can even watch rafters as they complete their rafting trip down the Dead river. Prices are reasonable. We would go back again.

Since seeing Moxie Falls is a must if you're passing through here, be SURE to stop in at the Hawk's Nest for a meal. As other reviewers have said, the building itself is worth visiting, but the food and views of the river make this place special. The staff is wonderful and the resident dogs are sweethearts.

Great restaurant to visit, especially in the winter and snowmobiling. Follow the trails to some great food and super company. Warm up by the fireplace sipping an adult beverage or some hot cocoa. Great view of the river too.

Really friendly people, and when I went it was very empty. So I sat with two nice dogs near by me keeping me company. The two nights that I ate there the food was good, but the dish had very little noddles in it for the amount of money.
