They do serve lunch. Cash only. Most of the seating is outside. Two tables inside. Service was to the point and direct. Restroom also around the building outside. The day we were there it was raining and we were able to get one of the indoor tables. They do have a tent outside that covers tables. $50 for two rolls... More

Staff was very friendly but the food was not special. We would not order the fried food, hamburgers or pie.

Captain Hook's offers lobster dinners at very reasonable prices at Lobster Pound on Rte 1 in Wells. The Pound is across the street from the heralded Maine Diner. Clam Chowder filled with clams, potatoes. One and 1/8 lb soft shell lobster plus corn-on- the- cob plus potatoes for $17.00. Lobster sweet and tender. I don't know why they don't sequence... More

When the owner belittles you and tell you "go to hell" twice when you complain about the service and sub standard food ... Think they are properly in the wrong business... Please take my advice and avoid this establishment.

Ordered inside the building. Took food outside to the picnic tables. There's an outside cooking area where your lobster can be cooked to order. Beer selection was a bit limited to whatever was stocked in the two coolers. I had a lobster roll but not impressed by it. Never had one before so maybe it's just not something I would've... More

Visited for dinner on a Thursday evening during mosquito feeding time. Our mistake. Customers walk into a small building, place their order, grab a table outside and wait for their number to be called. Drinks are in a vending machine outside. We ordered the crab roll with French fries, the fish and chips, a side crab cake, mac & cheese,... More

My husband is a lobster roll junkie....he typically orders them with drawn butter...no mayo. He forgot to specify today but was surprised when he received his order, it looked like a light coat of mayo. He said, " I can't describe the flavor, it's just good." Good prices, picnic tables, restroom, most drinks are soda machine. Very casual and relaxing.... More

1. Food is good but OH SO EXPENSIVE. Portions are costly and miniscule. 2. Dinner for two with small portions was over $42 with no sodas or anything extra. Drinks only available from vending machines. 3. In the evening, you will be absolutely destroyed by voraciously hungry mosquitos. You're sitting outside at picnic tables and will get bitten unmercilessly. This... More

We were taking the scenic route up highway 1 and needed something to eat. The restaurants in Ogunquit were ridiculously crowded, so we kept driving. It kept getting later and later. We passed this place up and then turned around. It was quick and not overly expensive. No one in our group was a lobster fan, so we had an... More

Capt'n Hooks is a place you might think about driving by but if your looking for good lobsters at a great price stomp on the brakes & pull into the lot. You'll find picnic tables with umbrellas scattered about the lawn as you'll be enjoying your lobsters "in the rough". The lobster pavilion in the back is where the magic... More
