I stayed at the hotel for 2 night and ate at the restaurant for breakfast and evening meals. The food was excellent with a good choice of meat, fish and vegitarian options. Breakfast was great with a good choice. All the staff were friendly and welcoming. The chef has talent - thanks for a great stay. I will definitely try... More

The Inn at Lathones is a very special place to us. We have stayed here and eaten in the restaurant a number of times over the past three years as our son attends University at St Andrews. There is always a warm welcome after a long journey. The staff are friendly, polite and professional in their manner. This was an old... More

Great service, relaxed yet attentive. Wonderful fresh beautifully cooked dishes. Not a huge choice, but who wants lots of things to say no to! I ate here to nights in a row and would happily have eaten again were my trip longer. Highly recommend.

This is more than a gastro pub, but it is not as expensive as alternatives elsewhere. It is probably easier to dine here if you are staying at the Inn, as it is 20 mins to most other accommodation nearby. The steaks that we have were cooked perfectly and the sweets were excellent.

Superb ambience, food, staff and standards of cleanliness that I just cannot recommend highly enough. Food wasn't too expensive or too inexpensive just well priced. 5*+++++

We passed this restaurant on several accasions without stopping. What a mistake. We took friends there for somewhere different to go. What a lovely place. The staff were superb and went out of thier way to help us. The food was amazing, with the steak pie taking top honours. Will certainly be going back there.

Having planned a special event, delayed for one reason or another for six years, my wife and I were renewing our wedding vows. We had a family group of 19 plus two babes in arms for the family gathering. We also had a list of expectations and requests. I am pleased to say they were all met and in all... More

Excellent service and food. I enjoyed a very nice steak, cooked just as I had ordered it. It was a quiet night with no other dinners in, but the staff were very friendly and the service good.

Description
Great food, prepared and served well. That's what eating out should be about and it is what you will find at The Inn at Lathones.

The Inn at Lathones has always had a superb reputation for its food and over the years has won and retained many awards for its cuisine but you can be assured we understand that eating out is not about awards. Guests can choose to dine in the cosy atmosphere of the bar and lounge area, maybe even sitting in front of the log burning stove or reserve a table in the restaurant.

Our food is served in an informal manner - we are an old coaching inn after all - and offers great value for money throughout the day from breakfast, through lunch, afternoon teas, bar suppers and dinner. Executive Chef Chris Wright uses only the freshest local produce in his menus that change with the season.
