After spending the day at Acadia National Park we went to The Lobster Pound and Real BBQ Pit for some lobster and cole slaw. The lobsters are fresh, right from the sea and cooked in their salt water. They use real butter for you to dip the lobster in which brings out the sweetness of the lobster. Their potatoes are... More

We stopped by here after a day's visit to Acadia NP. This was not a fancy looking place but the Lobster sandwich was great & very tasty !

We stopped here after an exhausting ride from Lubec via Acadia on our way home to NY. What a great choice. For starters for us, it is pet friendly and we were traveling with our Boxer. After asking if was okay, our server brought our dog a smoked pork bone which our dog loved. We each started with a delicious... More

We are three Little Old Ladies from NC. We chose this little place out of desperation (had walked out of a horrible place up the road). Chuck made us feel welcome and safe. It was the end of the season, so they were out of some items, but that didn't matter with Chuck in charge. We decided on lobster. He... More

We were thoroughly disappointed in our visit here. Our server seemed inexperienced, and therefore the service suffered. We were told they were out of several items. (Which seemed to be a common theme at some restaurants this late in the season, so we just assumed they would be closing for the season soon.) The table next to us (who came... More

Allow me to introduce you to the most perplexing yet still delectable place on earth. My wife and I chose the eatery as our first nosh stop, on our 22nd anniversary vacation. We pulled in to the parking lot to see the pit master, Chuck(also owner of Chucky's Cheez) and a waiter named Boyd. Seeing these two manning the smoker... More

We ordered to go meals and they did a good job. The lobster Mac n cheese was good. I enjoyed the lobster roll also. We had the brisket sandwich that was nice and tender. They had some good music on while we waited so we had a beer. Fun day.

Lobster Pound doesn't look like much from the outside (or the inside) but if you want delicious food, don't pass it by. We had lobster rolls and clam chowder and both couldn't have been better. The lobster rolls were full of tender lobster pieces and the chowder was so good, we're going back for more. The pit master, only employee... More

Stopped here after hiking all day at Acadia with the intention of ordering lobster. After smelling the BBQ, we couldn't resist. We 1st had the smoked mussels, delish!!! I had the pulled pork with potato salad and baked beans, blueberry lemonade to drink. Baked beans were incredible!! Had pulled pork and sausage in them. Pork was moist and potato salad... More

Ate here twice. Really friendly place although don't be in a hurry here. The food was good with large portions. Save room for the blueberry pie.
