We spent a long weekend in Stonington, kayaking, motorcycle, and just having a great time... Peak summer weekend but we were seated (as requested) on the outside deck overlooking the bay. Ahhh, of course it gets better with drinks and food. I had the Lobster Mediterranean which was a great choice, my BF had the Fisherman's Platter and he was... More

Need I say more lobster rolls, crab rolls, and fried clams are out of this world. The staff is very knowledgeable and the service was great. The views are something out of a magazine and I will eat here again.

I ate here for a late lunch last week. Since I was in the mood for fried clams, I ordered these without checking the Market Price, along with asparagus soup and some onion rings from the appetizer menu. Big mistake! The asparagus was a creamed soup, no doubt made from a flour, oil and milk roux, and was very stringy... More

Rainy day in Stonington so decided to stop for lunch as not much is open on Sunday. Lunch is about $50.00 for two. We had deep fried scallops and fish which were excellent. Seafood chowder came with a lot of seafood but I had a very bad stomach within an hour of eating it. Bread, muffins and cole slaw were... More

Expensive lobster rolls. Fish tacos are good, even when non blackened. Lots of fried foods on the menu. Great onion rings

We enjoyed a lunch outside watching the boats in the working harbor. Our server was pleasant, thought not so experienced as she often works in the kitchen. She shared some interesting facts about the area. Lobster and the lobster Cobb salad exceeded our expectations. It's not a fancy place, but neither are the prices. You're in lobster land, just eat... In Maine for a wedding. We grew up in coastal Maine but had never been to Deer Island so figured we would drive down. For dinner we thought we would give the Fishermans Friend a try... OMG are we glad we did... the lobster stew was to die for... crab and lobster rolls were the best we had ever had.... More

Had a very good lunch here. Had to wait over 20 minutes for a table since busy. Haddock sandwich and fish tacos were great. Highlight was blueberry cobbler for dessert. Nice views of the water

We went to fisherman's friend with our hosts and young kids. The food was delicious and large portions. A clean professional restaurant with harbour views which you can watch the lobster Boats dock whilst you eat your lobster roll or haddock sandwich. A good place to refuel at.
