Ate here on vacation in August and returned in October. Excellent pitas and a good value by MDI standards. I've had two different chicken versions and with all the toppings you are getting a salad to boot. Be aware that this becomes Cafe 2 after 5pm and it is a different menu with higher prices. This will be always be... More

Eat-A-Pita is my favorite breakfast option in Southwest Harbor. Located right in the middle of "downtown"; the casual atmosphere, creative menu, and fun front garden area (excellent for people watching on a sunny day) make it a perfect place for a memorable start to your day on Mount Desert Island. I recommend the Blueberry Stuffed French Toast and the Omelette... More

Huge pitas full of great greens made this a great lunch stop while watching the MDI Marathon! Homemade bread for my sandwich made it extra yummy. A friend's burger looked handformed and the homemade chips on the side were crispy and a great side. Overall, I would be back. A little disappointed that I couldn't get breakfast on a Sunday... Had we stayed longer we would certainly return to Cafe 2 and try more items on the menu. Delicious food and good service. Quaint atmosphere.

After searching for good vegetarian options, finally found this place. Had very tasty vegetarian chilli on bed of pita, followed by their signature blueberry bread and butter pudding.

We stopped here for lunch and were surprised to see such variety on a menu (chicken curry to burgers). We had the chicken curry and the Greek salad pitas. The food was fresh and flavorful. The atmosphere was eclectic. We would definitely eat there again.

This place was recommended to us by our hosts and also got the thumbs up from the local Kayak company. The place was buzzing and had its own funky bar tagged alongside for when you are waiting for a table. The service was excellent and the food very tasty. An all round good combination trusted by locals and tourists alike.

First of all dog friendly. Nice outdoor bar area, heaters going in October. Great homemade salad dressing. Scallops were superb. Chowder delicious! Will be returning to try the desserts while we are here this week!

They ask you to tell them what you want in your pita and you get the opposite. We wanted white bread but got whole wheat; there was no avocado in our BLAT; our friends did not want sprouts, peppers etc but had to pick them out. They wouldn't serve soup until 11:30 despite the fact it was 11:15. The clerk... More
