My wife and I stopped here after hiking for a quick lunch. We bought a chocolate chip cookie and a coffee and sat down for what turned into a ten minute wait for one bowl of fish chowder. After finally getting the soup my wife sent my back to the counter for some butter for the parts of her sourdough... More

After a drive to the area, we were hungry for lunch after hiking , so we stopped at little Notch Bakery. Quaint little town with outstanding Bakery. Very pleasant wait staff. the pizza we had was top-notch! the sandwiches were excellent deli style. they have wonderful baked breads and pastries worth a stop if you're in the area. ..

We thought this was a different restaurant than what it was but were pleasantly surprised. We all had pasta.

How this place earned a top Trip Advisor rate is beyond the experience of all 4 in our group. The unfriendly "order taker" can only be explained by reading a newspaper article, which is framed on the wall. All bakery items as well as pizza was in the "open". Back door was open (I did not see a screen door.)... More

The front of the cafe makes it look like the breads were just made that day, but it might not have been made that week. The cashier seemed to try to hide a smirk as she said $5 for just a small ciabatta that ended up being very stale. If you go, please ask when the baked goods were made.... More

Sunday morning, 2 croissants and a baguette, price nearly $10. If this bakery was in France it would be out of business. That's was annoying I am still trying to work out the price, croissant $3 each perhaps but $4 for a stale baguette, whoa!!!! It was a quaint little store but selling Saturdays bread on a Sunday morning is... More

I bought a loaf of their 9 grain bread on the first day I was in SW Harbor. I went back twice for more. It was delicious! The other items were way too expensive to buy.

My family needed a early lunch stop. We saw the delicious looking pizza in the display case and the blueberry scones which we did not pass up. Yummy! The blackened haddock sandwich was a little dry. The fresh made in store bread over toasted. Needs some spice besides tartar sauce. Service a little slow. Needs more attention to details upfront.... More

After a very late arrival in Southwest Harbor the night before, I snuck out late morning to pick up a pizza at this charming bakery, while my hubby was sleeping in. I ordered the artichoke and prosciutto, and it was delicious. They also have beautiful breads and pastries, sandwiches to go, and of course, blueberry pie. Great place to find... More
