We stayed in the area and did a nice loop hike around the pond and also climbed up South Bubble hill on the opposite side of the lake. We spent three hours that morning doing this hike and then wanted to grab a bite to eat. We tried to eat at the Jordan pond house but it was mobbed and... More

We stopped for lunch here during a driving tour of Acadia National Park. This restaurant is part of a larger facility that includes gift shop and roomy eatery on three levels, plus they serve outdoors on the lawn. It can be a very busy place and we waited about 30-40 minutes for an inside table. The service was very good,... More

The wait during the season is easily over an hour and not worth it. Food is fine but not anything special, and the popovers aren't all that great either. Despite being in a National Park, it is expensive. The view is available without eating here, and the view is even more spectacular from the peaks on nearby hikes. Much better... More

We'd been told by several people, "You can't miss the popovers at Jordan Pond," so we made our reservation weeks in advance and planned our day around getting there on time. We visited Acadia late in the season, so we weren't expecting the crush of cars and tour buses. Finding a spot in the overflow parking lot was stressful. When... More

Oh my. I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant! We arrived for a late lunch about 3 pm after hiking around Jordon Pond (about 3.5 miles, some rock scrambles, beautiful views.) Even at mid-afternoon, there was a half hour wait for a table. The wait was well worth it! We dined on lobster stew and fresh popovers -... More

This restaurant was very crowded when we stopped for lunch, but the 4 of us were seated promptly in a room with really good views of the pond and mountains. Our waitress was excellent and very knowledgeable. Our food was served quickly and was at proper temperatures. In addition all the food ordered was very tasty, including chicken sandwiches, salads,... More

I visted Jordan Pond and the gift shop in June while driving through the park. It was very crowded and couldn't get anywhere near the restaurant. In October I had a chance to go back. It was everything I had hoped for and more. Got there early for lunch and had no problem getting a table. Quite lovely inside and... More

We love this little restaurant! We have visited several times and always find the food good. It is pricey, but the atmosphere is great and the popovers are even better. There can be a very long wait as it is a very touristy place. We called ahead so the wait was short. I had always looked forward to the crab... More

My wife had heard a lot about the Jordan Pond House. It was in Acadia National Park on the shore of Jordan Pond. We arrived for lunch and were seated within 15 minutes. They do have outdoor seating but it was rather chilly and not many people were seated outdoors. We were kind of chilly indoors.... they don't have heat!... More

Driving through the park and around 11:00 found ourselves near JPH so decided to try it out for lunch. Had read all the reviews and concerns about parking and waiting to get in. We walked right up and were seated immediately. Nice stop going through the park. Food was excellent and plenty of it. I had the lobster roll and... More
