Excellent creamery ice cream. The flavors are true, not too sweet. The young lady who served us was delightful. Wish we could move this place closer to home.

I was taken to Beal's during a busy day of sightseeing and after tasting a few other local ice cream shops in Saco and Old Orchard Beach during my trip, Beal's ice cream was okay. I had the unique flavour of Teaberry ice cream, with rainbow jimmies. Teaberry is a wintergreen (minty) flavour with chocolate chunks. I had one scoop... More

I have been going to Beals off and on since 1980. Every time I am in Maine I make the point of driving the distance to have Beal's Ice Cream. I rate all other locally made ice cream to Beal's and it is still the best. I have had others who I think could give them a run for their... More

Mainers love ice cream and with good reason: all local, with strong advocates for whose is best. It's so great to line up with parents, grandparents, kids and neighbors to get their grapenuts ice cream (trust me - it's good)

The prices are reasonable. This place is always packed during the summer months. Their homemade ice cream is awesome. I got jimmies on my cone that were hard. And they need to have both windows going to help move the one line along.

Topped off dinner with a visit here (recommended by locals). Picnic tables for sitting while you savor your heavenly choices. Great selection of both homemade hard and soft serve ice creams. Noticed that they offer smoothies, sundaes and even doggie treats. We chose 3 scoops of different flavors in a cup rather than a cone .. all for $5. Great... More

the ice cream here is great. the service was very good. The cake batter is my favorite. I appreciate that they continue to stay open after the summer season.

I love Beal's, and visit frequently for a Reese's flurry. There are usually college-age kids working there, and they are always super polite and friendly. I've never had a bad ice cream from Beal's!
