Two of us enjoyed a very good value, early evening dinner at Rockland Café, as recommended by our guide book. We only ordered a main course each and particularly with the side salad this was sufficient to eat. The bill was reasonable given the quantity and quality of the food, together with bottled beer. The servers were pleasant too.

So many choices..... I went with the fish and chips and they were delicious. This place was packed and seems to be a popular place with the locals. Everybody was very friendly and the service was prompt and courteous. Loved their coleslaw which is so different than most. Wish I was going to be in town longer because I would... More

We were only there once but the food was fantastic! If we had more time we would've went there more. The homemade seafood chowder was very flavorful and had every type of seafood you could think of! It had lobster, crab meat, shrimp, clams, and haddock in it. It wasn't made with potatoes or onions and the soupy part of... More

We had low expectations upon entering but boy were we surprised! The service was quick and efficient. The lobster rolls were the best we had anywhere. Don't pass up the fries - they're crispy outside, hot inside. And the cole slaw reminded me of the homemade at my aunt's when I was a kid - I'm constantly looking for one... More

Sorry we waited until the last day to eat here. The seafood stew is amazing. And we were told they are famous for those fishcakes. I believe it. The menu is four pages. There is something for everyone!

We bypassed the crowds and enjoyed a late lunch. We have been on a lobster eating frenzy since arriving in Boston 2 days ago and my friend enjoyed the Rockland Cafe as the best lobster roll so far. My lobster dinner cost $13.95 and was cooked perfectly! The service was friendly and quick, We were too full to try some... More

I've heard and read several people saying things like "locals don't go to the Rockland Cafe". Well I am here to tell you that is pure hogwash! Father, Mother and I go to the Rockland Cafe once a week for breakfast, and once a week for supper. We're usually able to park on the street during breakfast hours, but around... More

Whenever we are in Rockland, whether we are passing through on our way to Mount Desert or staying in Rockland, we always stop for lunch at the Rockland Café. My husband always has fried scallops, never disappoints. Great seafood, plenty of other choices for the non-seafood eaters, fast friendly service, reasonable price.
