And at a bargain price. We split one of the big seafood platters and it was more than enough for two. Fried items were not greasy, with light breading. Pleasant and friendly service. Lots of locals - always a good sign.

Large menu, good sized portions, friendly waitstaff, reasonable prices. Classic experience...waitresses call you 'dear'. We like the breakfast options here. Would recommend the blueberry pancakes. Some may find the food a little greasy but this largely comes with the territory. Nothing fancy here...just good, hearty, satisfying food made by good people. We'd love it if they'd add a vegetarian option... More

I took several pieces of pastry back to a hotel room and enjoyed them all very much. Good baked goods and staff friendly.

We stopped for a late morning breakfast on week day. This is a classic diner with simple decor, efficient and friendly servers and good down-home style food. The coffee was fresh, hot and our waitress kept it coming. We ordered Eggs Benedict/Sausage and Eggs Bendict/Fishcake and both of us were very pleased. We will definitely return!

My wife chose better than me in our 2 visits here. She had fish and chips on the first day and lobster on the next day. They both looked and tasted great. I on the other hand had seafood lasagna (which sounded good at the time and fried prawns which could have done with a spell in the tanning booth... More

Forget the fancy tablecloths or ambience! The ambience is the diner decor; the staff and the locals themselves with families, kids and elders in tow! Best prices in town and big giant portions. Had a lobster each for 16 bucks! Are you kidding me? After ordering, I saw the sign on the wall to get two lobsters for 29 bucks... More

Run of the mill local diner. Best lobster price in town but not overly large portions. Food was fair, service friendly.

We ate here after peak season in early November when some of the other restaurants were closed. We were looking for just a good lunch spot and the lady at Samoset Resort suggested Rockland Cafe as a good bargain for the dollar with good food and varied menu. She got everything 100% correct. I had the fried haddock which was... More

I always see this place open at 5am and it seems to be crowded. It's even crowded at night. Not my kind of place but decided to give it a shot. I love when "diners" make amazing, fluffy pancakes. Unfortunately these were "chewy" and I could barely cut through them with my fork. The bacon was equally "chewy". Just weird.... More
