Just happened to walk in and so glad to have found it! Wow! Glad we split their famous Lobster King Club sandwich. It was more than enough for two of us and half the fun was trying to take a bite and hold it in...More

We visited this restaurant after years of visiting Rockland and driving by without stopping in. Well we did about an hour before closing this Friday. We were seated promptly and our server came over and introduced herself to us shortly afterwards. My wife ordered the...More

We sampled breakfast at the Brass Compass Cafe based on a recommendation from our hotel manager. We found this place to be very popular with the local crowd as we were able to be seated in the last free table. The food choices are all...More

Ignore the decor and remember you're here for the food. We had lobster rolls that were great - loads of fresh lobster, good coleslaw, bun and fries for $15.99. Add bottomless coffee, friendly waitress and it made a great lunch.

The Brass Compass Cafe is a bit of a hometown dive. It has a mismatched, cluttered decor and the servers are not especially friendly which contradicts what we have found for the most part in Maine. We sought out the location based on Trip Advisor...More

The menu was filled with so much wonderful sounding dishes and pastries we had a hard time choosing. Loved what we had and the local atmosphere of the space.

When we found out the owner beat Bobbie Flay years ago in the throw down for a lobster roll we had to go try it. The place is showing its age, we sat on a lot of tape keeping the vinyl bench seating together. We...More

After walking around the harbor and learning lobster lore, we yearned for lunch. Our innkeepers recommended the Compass Cafe as we'd asked about a good, authentic lobster roll. My husband and I found the Compass' lobster rolls just right--split roll, sweet lobster, and that's about...More
