The lines may be long in the summer, but they are worth it. Super friendly employees and a tremendous choice of ice cream flavors. A bit expensive which is annoying as it isn't like Beals is paying Manhattan rents.
Stopped in Beals during a Canadian cruise. Wonderful ice cream, nice area to enjoy it as well. When we are in Portland again this will be a definite stop.

What a find! Couldn't get over the variety of selections! Two of us shared a triple dish of blueberry ice cream and wow! it was wonderful! When in Maine you've got to try it! The cost is unbelievably cheap for the quality. Well worth the...More
Great spot to stop for a treat on a hot day. We didn't really know much about it but hard a fair amount of people so must be good.
This is a very cute store, set up all old-fashioned. The ice cream is delicious and I also got a blueberry soda that was very good.
Cold, creamy ice cream. Flavor choices not excellent, maple walnut was delicious. A bit pricey but what else can you do when you need ice cream?
