If you are looking for a great, reasonably priced restaurant to go to...Caio is your dining of choice. There is nothing else to compare from Waite staff to kitchen. As I said...the very best of the beast eatery!!!

Had such an amazing brunch at Caiola's! Every single item we got was perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned and so delicious. I'm a big fan of Damian Sansonetti and Ilma Lopez anyway and I think they brought Caiola's to a whole new level. I know they...More
Several friends recommnded Caiola's, so I suggested it for dinner with a few friends. We were all very disappointed. For one thing, THREE menu items which we ordered were not available (entree and drinks). The food was ok but nothing special. We were expecting traditional...More
I like everything about this restaurant. I always have the beet salad but try different main courses. Last week I had the lamb and it was excellent. Staff is friendly and efficient while working in a small space. Last year a group of us filled...More
We love Caiola's ambiance, but our meals left us a little disappointed. We opened with the spinach salad and polenta fries. The fries were different- in a good way. The salad's maple vinegarette dressing was not too maple-y, so it worked well. Our entrees were...More

We went on a Sunday morning for brunch. The menu was unimaginative. The omelette, home fries and toast were very good. The portions were disappointing. Only one piece of toast and a small amount of homefries. I would expect more for $13-$14 a plate. The...More
This restaurant has a fresh food, gourmet style approach. The service was excellent, and the outside patio seating (recently remodeled and upgraded) was great. The new menu and service makes Caiola's one of Portland's best restaurants. (Not an easy feat in a big restaurant/foodie town).
My husband and I came here after eating at a not so great place and were lucky enough to find this place to fill up at! I was surprised that I could love spaghetti so much at a restaurant. The sauce was delicious and the...More
My adult son and I took my husband to Caiola's for his b'day. My husband and I had been a year ago and wanted to take my son, who lived in Italy several years ago. It was everything we'd hoped for: solicitous service, good drinks,...More
