We love this place! The woody smoky smell in the air, the fireplace, the scallops that melt in your mouth like butter, the nice lighting, the coziness, the crispy skin brussels sprouts, indulgent stuffed lobster. We're from Fort Lauderdale and come to Maine three or four times a year. This is always our first stop in Portland. Boones always makes... More

My wife and I are big fans of "The Rooms" group of restaurants. Boone's is the only one we hadn't tried so we went for my Birthday. Parking is limited so you may end up in one of the parking garages near the restaurant so be prepared for a possible walk. We were greeted warmly and immediately seated ahead of... More

We visited recently with a large group from work. The service, especially for 15 people, all arriving at different times, was very good. The location and atmosphere are nice. We had a variety of appetizers, which were very good. They didn't put bread on the table until it was requested and the piece I had was not so much bread... More

What an unexpected gem on the waterfront. My husband and I visited Portand last weekend and bar hopped our way around town. We stopped at Boone's on a whim and it ended up being one of our favorite spots. The sea food is so fresh and perfectly prepared. Great drinks, great service! We will be back!

We went to Boones for my Daughter-in-laws 40th birthday. I had eaten their in September 2016 and the food was good. This time we came with 7 adults and 6 children ranging in age from 20 months to 11 years old. We ordered and waited for an appropriate amount of time before they started bringing the meals out. They brought... More

coming from other state, you may think : Oh Maine lobsters ,they must be cheap since they are right there............wrong, market price is what it is, they said the lobster was 1 1/2 Lbs, hard to know, anyway, the tail was the best part, obviously the head was empty and body had nothing except for the thicker legs. price about... It was full in the bar area this particular Friday in February since it was still Happy Hour time. The atmosphere was lively. There was a cozy smokyness in the air coming from the kitchen, which was a perfect feel on this cold and windy winter night. You could see the kitchen from the busy bar as well as from... More

Dined at Boone's on January 25th. Desiree was my server and was very attentive and made excellent recommendations from the Fixed Prix Menu. I found the fish chowder to be very tasty. I also enjoyed the Caesar salad and it was accompanied by biscuits and blueberry bread that were freshly baked and delicious. The seafood ravioli included fresh shrimp, scallops... More

Hands down the worst place I've EVER been to in my life!! From the waitress to the General Manager, everyone was very disrespectful. The problematic part was I was noticing it was only happening to me! It pains me to say this, but as a person of colour, I did not feel welcomed there. Therefore, if you are a minority,... More

Went for dinner here after searching seafood places in Portland Maine and finding that many are quite expensive. We were seated right away. I ordered coleslaw instead of salad ($2.00 for a large serving). It was excellent; fresh, crispy, and perfectly dressed. My dinner was a substantial portion of cusk ?, lobster hash cakes, and spinach. Very good and fresh,... More
