I liked the idea of it being an old ferry turned into a floating restaurant. I enjoyed looking out onto the water and all the exciting things happening out there. The food was good. Being a person that can not really get fresh seafood, this was a real treat. The freshness adds a sweet taste that I never knew was... More

Had to have the lobster. Don't get a lot of opportunities to have Atlantic Lobster in NW Arkansas. It was delicious. We had traveled with our son and daughter-in-law to Portland, Maine from Vermont. Made reservations about one week out. Sitting in once was a NY Ferry and viewing the harbor was wonderful. Staff was very attentive and helpful. My... More

Was there on a Friday night. Very busy, but service still good. They had a very good menu with a lot of choices. The food was good too. The prices were on the high side, but that was expected by us due to the location and ambience.

My girl friend and I visited Portand it was my first time, and so she insisted my initial dining experience should be at the popular DiMillo's. I admit it was a great culinary experience we both the lobster dish (a whole lobster) it was delicious our server was very courteous and helpful, the interior decor was amazing. Mr. DiMillo even... One of the few floating restaurants on the northeast coast. This former ferry, purchased and reworked into a lovely restaurant that seats 600 people. From the time you enter the boarding deck, you know that you are in for a special treat. We were escorted to an upper deck dining area with view of the marina and Portland's waterfront. I... More

This is certainly a popular restaurant that is situated on the water in an old carry ferry that has been turned into an upscale place to eat.The service was very good and was not over expensive for the "Fine Dining" experience. My only comments would be that the menu was OK, but nothing special and the food was no more... More

We were just getting back from a boat cruise around Portland and found DiMillos. We went, enjoyed our meal, but wasn't blown away. We wouldn't go back again.

What a beautiful place to eat. The food, service and views were excellent. This was a great place to just relax and enjoy Maine's delicious sea food. No dress code and price very reasonable.

Snagged 2 seats at the bar and enjoyed best "blt" fried oysters! Someone else posted that the bowl of mussels was too large, not when they are delicious and you share. Planked scallops okay. Chelsea the bartender was excellent.

I made reservations two weeks in advance of our arrival in Maine. Last year, I forgot to do so and there was a two hour wait. We were so disappointed last year, but not this year. The food and service was wonderful. It is a special part of our family's annual Maine trip each year. It has been part of... More

Description
Our restaurant actually floats, and because it is surrounded by water, every table offers spectacular views of Portland Harbor. Our outside decks are great spots to see the sights while enjoying a meal or cocktail. Maine lobster is what we do here and we do it better than anyone.
