Came back to The Grill Room after a brief hiatus. Tonight it was very good. They have an internal problem that kept this from a 5 star rating. They do not cook their steaks as much as the normal. Thus.....You want medium rare.....you order medium. This is after several different visits. If you do order medium rare, expect blue meat.... More

Visited last weekend to celebrate my sister and her fiance's engagement. We were a party of five, and everyone loved their meals. We started with a cheese plate, which was delicious, and two bottles of red wine. For the main course, everyone ordered filet mignon and it was the best steak I have ever had. The mashed potatoes were also... More

Ate there last night.Had no reservations but ate early and they seated us. IT eventually filled up. Service was friendly and timely.Started with an exceptional Manhatten. Then Foisted Gras. The sauce was exceptional (yellow cherries) but the Foisted Gras was slightly overcooked. Main course..Huge perfectly cooked (rare) locally raised ribeye over lobster mashed potatoes and crispy delicate onion rings. Best... More

Three couples up in Maine for a weekend away. Heard this was a great place to eat. My dinner special was great, but not everyone was impressed, and the prices were a bit higher than expected. I had a sirloin steak with delicious mashed potatoes and asparagus and mine was cooked perfectly. My hubby had the pork chop and was... More

We are here for dinner and LOVED it. The salad was generous and enough for the three of us as a starter. Oysters were very fresh and well presented. The steak was fantastic. Very tender. Note that the tend to undercook but we're great about sending it back. The service was nice and prompt. It was an excellent dinner and... More

Visited last night to celebrate my husband's birthday. Brought the kid (2 teenagers). Wine was SPECTACULAR. The meals were impeccable. Hot food, nicely plated, as described and of the finest quality. Kids loved their meals , but they are accustomed to fine cuisine. Have NEVER had a bad meal, or an issue with anything here. Our waiter (sorry can't remember... More

Went for business dinner (all colleagues) in October. Great red wine list (pinot noir), appetizers, and main courses. I had duck which was delicious, and others had chicken and fish and enjoyed what they had. the side courses (mushrooms, brussels sprouts) and salads were also terrific. Warm, friendly but not intrusive service. A good place for couples during the weekend... More

I dined at the Grill Room with my husband and 2 friends. Having been there before, we were prepared for the noise (banging pots and pans, clanging trays of dirty dishes, loud yelling from the open grill), the uncomfortable and crowded seating and the lack of light but our friends love this place so we agreed to go. Unlike other... More

Actually better than average but not quite very good. Bartenders were charming and service was very good. Enjoyed the environment . We really didn't explore the entrees because we were looking for a lighter meal. We both had salads that were OK. $14 lobster bisque was weak for a restaurant in Maine. Onion soup was very good. Drink prices were... More
