Emilitsa's remains our favorite restaurant in Portland. They have revised their menu slightly, adding some really wonderful items. The kefalograviera meh syka saganaki (pan fried sheep’s milk kefalograviera cheese with baby turkish balsamic peppered figs) was spectacular... we had never had it before, but it's...More

I dined here for the first time with business colleagues. Both the food and service are extraordinary - top of the line. There really is nothing more to say, other than it is a dining experience well worth trying.

My wife and I had a wonderful dinner here during restaurant week. The staff was attentive and the food delicious. The only disappointment was that the wine we wanted & listed on the menu "was not available from the distributor.

Without getting into some long, drawn out review, this place is simply amazing. The food is carefully cooked, personalized, fresh, delicious, and the wait staff was really something special. Can't wait to go back!

Our son's in-laws in Chicago are Greeks by heritage and conviction, so we habe been treeted to their cuisine-- excellent at home and in their favorite restaurants, but mostly traditional and conventional. Emilitsa re-imagines many of those dishes, so they manage to surprise, and to...More

Description
Emilitsa is a Greek restaurant located in the arts district of Portland, Maine and boasts a contemporary and casual atmosphere. Emilitsa brings a wide array of Mezethes (small plates), Megala Piata (large plates), and pristinely fresh seafood to the seacoast area. We honor the breadth of traditional cuisine from all regions of Greece. We prepare our Greek dishes with as many local, fresh, organic and natural ingredients as are available to us. We also accommodate those with food allergies.
