I must ask, does the owner understand the concept of philoxenia (hospitality)? There is no question about the food and service -- it is excellent. However, when you arrive with friends for a lovely night out and spend approximately $400 or so for a meal,...More

Highly recommend- we had swordfish, chicken and a vegan dish and all were outstanding! Wonderful service and lovely staff. John, host owner told us all recipes are his moms, Emilitsa. Wonderful meal and looking forward to return.

Food and service were excellent. We shared the figs and grilled cheese, had rabbit in phyllo and lamb sliders along with salads. Bit pricey for serving size, but food was worth it.

Description
Emilitsa is a Greek restaurant located in the arts district of Portland, Maine and boasts a contemporary and casual atmosphere.

Emilitsa brings a wide array of Mezethes (small plates), Megala Piata (large plates), and pristinely fresh seafood to the seacoast area. We honor the breadth of traditional cuisine from all regions of Greece.

We prepare our Greek dishes with as many local, fresh, organic and natural ingredients as are available to us. We also accommodate those with food allergies.
