We met many people we hadn't seen in a while and enjoy the staff that serves good food and drink. Family friendly and seasonal dining room with the bar service all the time.

Last year we ate at Black Harpoon and I thought it so so – my dining companions were a little more generous than I was. We ate there again this year and I was more impressed with both the food and the service. Could be that the bar service is better than the dining service. Could be that I choose... More

We needed a place for an early dinner and happened upon The Black Harpoon. We also noticed the parking lot was full so we gave it a try. Dinner took quite awhile to arrive and we learned there was a party in the bar area. Waitress was very good at coming back and forth to tell us of the progress... More

We used to make a point of dining here whenever in Port Clyde. It was always a great meal, lovely atmosphere and reasonable price for what you knew was going to be a good meal. More recently, it has not been as predictable--but, when it's good, it's really good!

For nearly ten years, my wife and I have been coming to Maine. As each year passed, we found ourselves traveling further up the coast, trying to avoid overcrowded tourist traps. Thank goodness we found Port Clyde. A little town that offers rustic Maine beauty with some of the kindest most down to earth people we have ever met. Often... More

I ate at the Black Harpoon a number of years ago and was not impressed. In fact, I was so disappointed that I didn't return. Today it is under new ownership and much improved. Our party of six ordered vastly different meals and all were pleased. The waitstaff was very attentive and professional.

service very slow , table after us got served first . food wasn't good , soggy fries , scallops served in plastic basket. food at our table come out at different times, not muck choice in menu items . and pricey for the quality, Even though weve spent every anniversary there for 26 years , I doubt we'll ever go... My wife and I arrived Wednesday night after a 4 hour drive up to the area. We had visited this restaurant several times in the past and really enjoyed our meals there. This time no so. There were three locals at the bar and one couple in the tables area, not a busy night I figured or something was not... More

We arrived @ the Black Harpoon on a rainy, extremely windy night. It was very late and they were very gracious and feed us a wonderful supper of clam chowder and burgers--tasted like a great steak in an expensive restaurant.
