Choose your own lobster! Large lobster pool! Friendly and helpful wait staff! What else needs to be said! If you don't like lobster or seafood, there is still plenty to choose from...the table next to us had the largest rack of ribs I've ever seen!

Been going to the Pound since the early 60's and it's always consistently good for the lobsters and steamers...never been disappointed. (Just don't order the meatloaf!). Will be back again a couple of times before we leave in 10 days!

I've been addicted to lobster since I was about 4 years old. But I'd never been to Maine, so on our short vacation to the coast, I searched for a great lobster restaurant in Maine within driving distance of our stay in northern MA. Found...More

We really enjoyed this meal. Service and staff were very good. We had had lobster for lunch so we got stuffed shrimp and stuffed sole and both were excellent. Sides were good and there were drinks, wine or beer if you are interested in them.

It's been the same since 1931, a knotty pine cabin under the trees with a large dining room and a fireplace. Lobster is the main reason to go, and they do it perfectly. Visit the outside tank, tell them what size you want, and they...More

We stopped here on a hot evening. It was 93 at 5:30. We had our dog with us on vacation. The car was in the shade, but too hot for a dog. We asked to eat outside, but they don't serve outside. As an exception,...More

Had dinner at the Lobster Pound last night and enjoyed the experience. Picked out a lobster for each of us and ordered cole slaw and potatoes for the side. Nothing fancy, but all tasted delicious. The lobster was cooked perfectly and you knew you were...More

We do not take reservations however, we do like a "heads up" when a large party is coming in. Please call the restaurant to discuss further when we open for the season. Thanks for contacting us.

I am not sure if soft shell lobsters are available in September. Personally I prefer the hard shell lobsters and Ogunquit Lobster Pound cooks and cracks them so perfectly, there is no reason to get the soft shell lobster... More

Description
Established in 1931 the Ogunquit Lobster Pound has been proudly serving the best Maine lobster for generations. Choose your own live lobster to be boiled in seawater in the traditional Maine fashion or try one of the many offerings from our full menu. Now in our 87th year, we continue our traditions of consistency, quality, and exceptional service. We eagerly look forward to another season of satisfied customers both new, and those who have been returning for years.
