We drove through town and then back again. Decided to give it a try as they seemed to be the only ones open serving food. We were pleasantly surprised. Food was good, and so was the price. It was small inside but adquate.

I love everything about this cafe! Reasonable prices, great homemade entrees and desserts, lots of selection, generous portions, friendly staff, good views....all in a little town that is a very pretty drive from Waterville!

My husband and i decided to try the cafe after i had heard good things about it. We were the only ones there on a Friday morning. Very quiet and quaint. We sat in a pool of sunlight overlooking the lake. Absolutely lovely. My husband had the baked ham omelet. I had the raspberry jam stuffed French toast. Both were... More

Low key and simple, good food. Lunch is order at the counter and they'll bring it over when it's assembled. A very nice Reuben, with house-cured corned beef, was the star.

Open for breakfast and lunch daily but dinner only on Saturday now. I've only been for dinner and that was twice last summer and once this year. Their lobster roll is among the best I've ever had and it's plenty big. Has light mayo and some chopped celery. The sides are good and there is a reasonable selection of beer... More

The olde post office cafe is my favorite place to eat breakfast. The food is consistently good. My favorite is the salmon scramble.

Mt Vernon is tucked away. A sleepy little town with a great place to eat. The street was lined with cars.Everyone was there to eat.You place your order at the counter they bring the food to your table. I got the last table on the small porch! All the plates looked tasty. I am so glad I chose the Lobster... More

On a recent trip to Maine some friends and I stopped in to OPOC for breakfast. I had the stuffed French toast and loved it. Others had omelets or breakfast sandwiches and everyone really enjoyed the food. The atmosphere was friendly and the staff pleasant. I would recommend it for anyone passing through the area.

Stopped by for a quick lunch, food was good in the quaint little cafe. Worth a stop for a nice salad or sandwich.
