Our first meal in Maine was a great success. We shared a salad with pecans, cranberries and delicious local made goat cheese. We are from a land locked province, and have never had such large, fresh clams, steamed and served with home made bread. All...More

We ate here 2 nights in a row while in Machias and wish we could have come back a 3rd night! The lobster dinner was wonderful and such a good value. Their haddock sandwich was amazing. We only wish we had had room for dessert.More

A Helen's haddock burger is top of the list! Homemade tartar sauce, fresh hand breaded haddock, on a toasted kaiser (they are soft and tasty but not homemade 🙃) The only thing I would add is a cup of our hand cut slaw with secret...More

This place was busy midweek in early June. Food well prepared and generous servings. Our table equally pleased with the seafood and the beef entrees. Blueberry pie was excellent. Beer selection good. Located right on the water so great views.

The food took a nosedive after they rebuilt the old restaurant that burned down a few years ago. While the interior decorating is superb, the bill of fare suffered. Overpriced and inferior food. Will not go there again and, from a local, that's bad.More

Went here, first time, wide open, immaculate, server was friendly, both my wife and I ordered omelettes. Extremely tasty, hot and fresh. We couldn't leave without a homemade pie. So glad we did. Perfection. Blueberry pie. Absolute best. We'll be back!!

Pies are wonderful! Homemade crust and not overly sweet fillings. Cornbeef hash was also homemade and really good! Everything else we ate there was good as well.

They have some great local Maine beers on tap as well as a full line of liquor. They even have a great blueberry sangria made with fantastic local Maine blueberries. Yummy.
