Wow in the worst way possible. We had an appetizer, salad and two entrees. The bacon wrapped scallops were good and the salad was very nice, but the meal bordered on inedible. We went for beer and dinner last night and were disappointed with the food and even more appalled by our bill. The three of us shared nachos, a burger and one of the night's specials and with two beers apiece, it somehow managed to be $66! The nachos were a pile of chips covered with a layer of veggies and... Good burgers, beer and daily specials. Service was excellent. Restaurant seating was comforable. TV's were on but not to loud.

On a Monday traveling around Maine, it seems to be their Sabbath. We found more places that we planned to visit closed on Monday than were open. After another closed store we decided that it was time to eat and Thatcher's was right there in front of us. It's a sports pub that at 3pm on a Monday definitely has... More

Try the lobster stew. At thatchers it's the best. Nothing special just decent chow in a Maine atmosphere. We go occasionally

I've been to Thatchers twice, which was two times too many. It's really just a bar that happens to serve items to fill the alcohol-filled stomach. Unfortunately because the smell was so overwhelming, the underwhelming food also tasted... More
