I really enjoyed our meal here. I loved the atmosphere. The Cavatappi Rosa was so tasty and I had enough to have it for lunch the next day. My dining friend had steak tips that were good. Our server was friendly, and efficient. When we...had a problem redeeming a gift card she explained why. We were still puzzled and the manager explained it also. They were not going to honor it as they had switched to a new system. The manger made a phone call to the owner and it was honored. I'm not sure if it was honored because I said that would be going in my review or what. Be cautious about purchasing gift cards here. Who puts in a new system that would not honor gift cards that have not been redeemed? Even though that happened I intend to return and enjoy another meal here.More

Homestead catered a brunch for my father's birthday. The owner was such a pleasure to work with and very accommodating. The room was so pretty and the food was delicious. The man that set up the room, Owen, was so pleasant and our server, Tricia,...was probably the best server in my experience! She got everyone a drink in a timely manner with a smile on her face, and she was so serene and gracious. Our guests seemed so happy.More

Fantastic lunch, service was exceptional and the food outstanding. We sat outside and had our puppy with us. Everything was perfect. This is the place to go in Farmington.

This continues to be a surprise when we are in Farmington. Creative food, well prepared, and very reasonably priced. Service is excellent. Typically, the preparation is a little heavy handed with the salt . (Remember chefs, your customers can always add salt if they wish,...but they can't remove it once you have put it on your preparations!)More

I liked the atmosphere. Open. Comfortable. My prosciutto wrapped haddock was yummy - as were the green beans and risotto. Our server was friendly but didn’t hover. I’d definitely visit again.

We stopped in for lunch. My wife had the gluten free Reuban and I had the mac and cheese. The mac and cheese was the way I like it not being wet.

Four of us met for lunch and enjoyed it immensely. The decor is inviting, spacious and comfortable. Our server Ian was attentive and friendly. I especially liked the option of ordering only a half sandwich. I had the Reuben with French fries ($7.50). I would...have preferred a marbled rye, but the fresh homemade rye was toasted to perfection. My Manhattan was served without a cherry, but that was easily remedied. Lovely atmosphere and good food!More

My wife has been insisting that I visit Homestead. So we finally made the trip up for a late lunch early dinner and am very glad I did. Homestead is well worth the trip and will be a destination point for us. Everything is made...fresh to order. I have had Spinach Artichoke Dip in no less then 100 different restaurants across this country and Homesteads is hands down the best. It was hot, creamy, well balanced and textured. Perhaps it was the fresh Vermont chèvre that gave it an extra zing. It was served with perfectly grilled French bread with just the right amount of olive oil on the surface. The serving was enough for both of us to throughly enjoy our fill. We followed that with a Maine Blueberry Salad. The Spinach was so fresh it was crispy. It was really tossed with blueberry vinaigrette and not just a drizzling. The gorgonzola was ripe and tangy but not overpowering and there were enough candied pecans and blue berries for one in every forkful. Again, super fresh and perfectly balanced. I went specifically for the fish and chips. It did not disappoint. The Haddock is fresh and cut to order. It is fresh dipped in the most flavorful beer batter I have had, and perfectly deep fried. This fish was perfectly prepared light, flaky and not dripping with oil. Actually I had a hard time finding any oil residue on my plate. And the fries, well done to my order and perfectly seasoned. The Calamari was also perfect. Fresh, perfectly battered and fried. It was al-dente without being chewy or rubbery. Our waiter was a perfect gentleman, polite, attentive and not over bearing. To say this was a great dining experience is an understatement. I will be returning very shortly to experience some of the other items, such as the Prosciutto Wrapped Maine Haddock, or the Maine Ribeye Steak, or perhaps their special of the day. It seems the Homestead takes incredible pride in house preparing and serving the freshest made to order fare. I know this, I will not be happy until I have tried everything on the menu.More

Went for lunch, ordered calamari to start. It was soggy and room temp, sent it back, came back suspiciously quickly, and it was unsurprisingly still undercooked. My girlfriend and I had the burger and falafel burger, her burger was definitely undercooked and left both of...us feeling pretty gross the rest of the night. How do you mess up a burger? The falafel burger was okay but really under seasoned. Stay away.More

Enjoyed the ambiance of the new Homestead Decor. (Hats off to Jennifer E!) The menu was similarly new and more urbane than in the past. Looking forward to returning to try other new dishes, but I may have to first have the ahi salad again...first! (With a passionfruit margarita!)More

I love The Homestead, it has such a great environment. Their food is amazing and the staff is great. Their Cream Horns and Hot Chocolate are amazing. I always ask for extra Whip Cream. The Whip Cream is homemade and sooooo good. If you are...in the Farmington area you should definitely stop.More

Stopped based on the Trip Advisor reviews. I was just looking for a quick sandwich as I was traveling through solo. The waitstaff was super friendly and boxed up my lunch with plenty of care. I found a quiet picnic table to enjoy the fare....I had a chicken salad sandwich with coleslaw. Everything was home made. The bread was heavy and tasty, the coleslaw fresh and chunky. It was excellent. I would definitely stop here. The restaurant had indoor or outdoor seating and looked inviting.More
