Wife and I and two grands visited Damariscotta for a few days. Stayed at Sheepscot Resort and staff recommended King Eiders. We had dinner there, Place was packed and food was delicious. I had Steak & Ale Pie, wife had haddock sandwich, one grand had Black Bean Quinoa cakes, and the other chicken pot pie. A little pricey. Would go... More

My wife and I stopped by a couple of years ago and found it to be a very nice stop in Damariscotta. The atmosphere is fun, the staff are helpful and the food was very good.

We were on our way back from Pemaquid lighthouse and as we drove through town we noticed up a driveway was this pub. It looked very unique, very original, and very fun. We stopped in for lunch, a late lunch. There were a few locals in there. We sat down and ordered our lunch, everything was delicious. The hand cut... More

I tried the "untraditional" fish and chips and was really pleased. Haddock was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The fries were potato perfection.

We are frequent visitors of this restaurant and find the food to be very good. However we find that they charge way too much for a glass of wine. Our experience is that they are higher than most places in Maine and closer to what you would pay in New York City. If the wines that they serve were high... More

We moved to the area less than a year ago and decided to celebrate my partners birthday around 6:00 Thursday. When asked if we wanted to be seated in the bar area or dining room we elected to go to up to the dining area as bar area was noisy. Hostess proceeded to set us at a table between the... More

OK--I'm really surprised at a lot of the negative reviews I've read, because truthfully--I've cooked in some pretty nice joints, feel like I know a thing or two about food--what's good, what's not, how to make food taste really yummy and whatnot. Is the place a little cramped? Yes. Is it noisy? Yes. It's always full--that should tell you something.... More

After having eaten at this local place a few more times, I have found much to enjoy there. I have not enjoyed the salmon, but other choices have been good, including oysters, scallops clams, and other seafood.
